I am optimistic for next year especially if we get a couple of decent signings and get rid of some players either selling or on loan.

    True that.

But the fact still is we're scoring more goals than any other team in the league :emoticon-0103-cool:

Good end to the season which sets us up nicely for next year.

We need another striker and defender though.

Think with all the changes we could be a surprise package next year.

I am very optimistic to. My only concern is replacing Carragher correctly. We have seen how Arsenal have struggled to replace Toure and Campbell for years, repeatedly making the wrong signings.

But we play with nice style. Use the ball well. Play with a lot more creativity. Most importantly though, scoring a lot more goals.

the centre back position is difficult. Coates and Skertyl are very similar in that you always know there will be at least one big mistake every game whether it is being caught on the ball or diving in when they shouldn't. We need an organizer at the back like Carra and Hypia

    Exactly. A leader is needed.

The players Arsenal have signed are not bad players. But they are not leaders. They need to be lead.

I think the chances of striking lucky with another cheap buy who ends up being brilliant, like Hyppia, are slim. There are a lot of centre backs around in Europe who are described as " up and coming", but would they cope with the PL which is fast and furious compared with most European leagues. It is going to be an interesting Summer and no doubt from tomorrow onwards we will be linked with every man and his dog by the media.

If they dont have the balls to try out the Premier League they dont have the balls to be a top player.

We should totally go for Phil Jones... He is a really solid defender, whenever he plays Man Utd only concede a few times.

Yeah, Messi, Ribery, Lahm, Lewandowski, none of them are top class as they don't have the balls to do it on a wet Wednesday night at Stoke <whistle>

Lewandowski may be in England next season.

I'm sure those players would all be willing to try the PL. But they are at top clubs already.

3 points all that matters at the end of the day! More 1-0s & less 2-2s next season & we'd be in the top 4!!

Confirmation that we did in fact score from a corner this season even if it wasn't given
