I bet you believe Arsenal have £70m to spend as well, just that Wenger chooses not to spend it. As he prefers fighting for 4th place instead of the title presumably.
Be an interesting Summer, lets see who we sign. If City get Pelligrini as a manager Carzorla will try and follow, he did from Villa Real to Malaga and would want to link up again. Will we keep Bale? he deserves to play in the CL but he appears to be happy. Lets hope he stays. It will be interesting. Roll on August.
I am sick of the same **** year after year. Daniel Levy has taken this club as far as he can. Time for him to **** off, he lost us this season when he failed to back the manager in January. Had enough with his absolute tight arse tactics of leaving every transfer to the last minute to save a penny.
Did you see him at the end? He looked proper gutted. Perhaps he sees now what he needs to do to take us up a rung in PL ladder.
Not sure about that. City have Silva, Nasri etc. Would Cazorla want to compete with them for a starting position when he's the first name on the team sheet at Arsenal?
Good fight to the end guys. 26 out of 30 points from us made it a bit too difficult for you. The big question now is if Bale will accept another season of "Euro Disney Cup" as HiaG calls it.
Spurs blew it, its as simple as that. 7 points ahead at one stage and still messed it up. One of the worst Arsenal teams in living memory and you still couldn't finish above them. I think Bale will leave next year.
Disagree. If it's right it's right. The refs have escaped for too long, hiding behind this stupid 'mistakes even themselves out' bollox. The fact is that when there's one point in it at the end of the season, any points gained by refereeing 'errors' affect a great deal.
We didn't mess it up! Our form has been probably the 3rd best over the last 10 games. For Arsenal to get 26 points out of 30 only drawing to united and Everton is incredible. a quite phenomenal set of results. Anyway I'm not going to be bitter about it, well done Arsenal.
We certainly deserved the 3 points on the day I feel, we were denied crucial refereeing calls and Mignolet had a blinder. It just needed a Bale moment of genius to pull us through once again. We did all we could on the day. Getting CL this season would have been a far greater achievement than when we last did, Liverpool were in decline anyway at that point and we were ahead of City that season in the head to head and the table. One of us had to get 4th and we absolutely deserved it that year. The problem for us this year is that 3 teams, all who have deserved it for different reasons had to fit themselves into 2 spots. We had great upheaval with the managerial change and losing players, but Arsenal and Chelsea had their problems last year and during the season as well. All 3 teams have had issues and all 3 of us have done well to overcome them. I don't think we can point to the early season fixtures for blame, its fixtures like the Fulham home game where we didn't take all the points that we have to look at.
With the Premiership referee's being so poor and apparently anti Bale... together with missing out on Champion League football in such disappointing way. I expect, it will now be a case of:- ......'Alas poor Garath, we knew you well'.......
I agree Huddlefro. Considering the budget we work with to be only 6 points off City in second with their bottomless pit is a great achievement. Our number one priority this summer is to keep hold of Bale. Holding onto him will be the key for any other major signings. I hope he can at least stay one more year and if we miss out in champions league again them fair enough if he wants to go. He is a player who should be playing in the champions league.
