I am a huge fan too Billy but I question at 28 whether he will regain it and if we offer him an new contract he wont be worth anything in another 2 or 3. He has been injured and out for a long time and you have to ask has that affected his ability to tackle and be strong (his biggest asset) and that we need a better solution long term?
I honestly think the team has looked far better when Colback has played at right back...Bardsley has looked way off his game since this season for one reason or another, so maybe it is time to say thank you and goodbye..
He scored the goal against Southampton that kept us up effectively aswell. Short memories some people. We can't buy a new team in the summer we need to build on what we have. The spine of our team is good which is always your starting point. Bardsley is a good squad player who always gives 100%.
i agree with this. last season i wanted him as captain, he was up for it and focused. this season has been stop and start for him
