To get out of the championship! I'm sure Leicester will be looking forward to playing brentford or Yeovil?
Brentford is a good day out. I've not made it to Yeovil so can't comment on that one but I would go if we were still in the Championship (and I'd look forward to it). Both will be a hell of a lot cheaper than Arsenal and Chelsea, plus I'd be guaranteed a ticket! I think a lot of fans look forward to seeing a new ground, Leicester fans included.
I love the big time. It's where you aspire to be as a football fan. But I have to say some of the fondest memories I have from the last 40 years of following City is from day trips to Gay Meadow, Layer Road, The Manor Ground, Plough Lane, Dean Court, Victoria Park, Priestfield Stadium and the rest. Sometimes the getting there is the pleasurable part.
Love how you've mentioned Leicester though. There'll be 22 other sides in the division next season. Quite a few are supposed to be your rivals.
I think even next season some won't be able to give up their special feelings for Leicester, despite everything. GG this thread comes over as a little elitist, like you think we're too good to play "Lesser" teams like those, which in all honesty, we are not. We're one season away from playing those teams potentially, either they going up or us going down.
Exactly, you're potentially a season away from playing Bradford. But on the other hand, you're potentially a season away from playing Barcelona.
Wigan may have that joy this year, if Barca do terribly. But they're trying to sign Neymar, so I don't think that would happen.
I'm not obsessed with Neymar, but nobody can deny he is of the best young players around. He hasn't stood out when playing on English TV, but he tears up the Brazilian league, which has some very good players.
In fairness he is ****ing good. But you get spackers like Pele gobbing off that he's better than Messi and ronaldo. He isn't, and he dives everywhere like a ****ing ponce. And he has stupid hair.
I'm in the same mind set. I have seen him have amazing games and also crap ones, but people jump on the "he's ****" train as much as the "he's the ****" train. He is very good though.
Oh, I wasn't saying you were. Just that everyone seems to think he's the next Pele when he's done nothing to suggest that. I'll wait until he moves to a European club first.
Actually we're potentially a season away from being a league below Brentford (although that's not looking too likely at the moment).
I wouldn't say the Brazilian league is poor, there's some bloody good players playing there and it's constantly improving.
There are about 7/8 players that could play in Europe. The defending, on the whole, is ****ing abysmal.
