Looking at the mess successive male owners have made in the running of a certain club not a million miles from Southampton not to mention a succession of chairmen running SFC club pre-Cortese et al on behalf of a lady, perhaps we are better off being owned by a lady!
She's the trustee, not the beneficiary. Which means she runs the trust, and apparently has the power to sell the club. So yeah, she owns it.
Just thought..! Wouldn't it be great if Katarina turned up during a dark and stormy evening match, in the Champions League, with the rain and wind swirling around St Mary's. She'd stroll onto the pitch, having grabbed a radio mike and shouted... Vere are you..? Vere are you..? Let us be having you..!
But seriously, if Katarina proved to be as committed to your club as Delia is to ours, you would have nothing to worry about. Without Delia we would undoubtedly have gone into administration three years ago. Furthermore, when we were desperate for someone to invest and put the spectre of bankruptcy behind us, Delia nevertheless had the sense to reject overtures from Tony Fernandes and tell him to look elsewhere. The rest is history -- both at Carrow Road and Loftus Road!
