    Couldn't put it better myself.

There's at least 10 English players in the last 10 years better then Beckham. A.Cole, Rio, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Owen, Scholes and Campbell.

Waddle is a bit of clown but Beckham is vastly over-rated for sure. Comments regarding him being a great crosser and athlete are spot on but the Casual has it right that there are plenty of English players better than him also Man U fans in general were leaving him out of their Fergies greatest teams and they should know. You'd think somebody calling himself Bullshit Man on here would know better than to buy into brand Beckham!

To be fair, Cristiano Ronaldo was playing in the same position a lot of the time.

They could still switch him into the team somehow. I'd think he was one of the greatest if England did something with him but he was either sent-off, injured or knackered at every single major finals he played in with the national team. Great attitude, great crosser, model pro- but over-rated.

In the Man United fan vote, for the greatest Man United players of all time, Beckham came 7th.

I think Beckham is great for what he is but he was a step short from being a truly world-class player, the Premiership would and could manage without him for sure. Younger fans would probably rate him higher than us old-uns.

I'm not doing Beckham a disservice here but that's the same in any modern vote - young people always vote for the ones they've heard of or have seen themselves. I can guarantee if there was a 'best albums of all time' vote tomorrow then Robbie Williams, Take That and the like would get in the top 100.

Have you got the top 10 of that vote? Would be interested to see. I'd wager there will be some glaring omissions.

I thought Kanchelskis was a better winger than Beckham for starters and that was less than 20 years back, he had the ability to beat the man aswell as crossing and athleticism

No Steve Bruce. They can **** right off.

Denis Law Duncan Edwards. Bryan Robson off the top of my head. Agree with BCC.

The fact that Rooney makes the list and these 3 don't says everything you ever needed to know. Edwards and Law should be top 5 and Robson defo top 10.

Who would you take from the top 5 for Law and Edwards to replace? Personally, due to being 18, my team would be heavily feature players of Fergie's era.

Ronaldo and Best. If I was voting, and I'm no Utd fan, top 5 would be Charlton, Law, Cantona, Giggs and Edwards. Best was too much of a total prick. People always talk respectfully about him but if an Average Joe on the street was an alcoholic, then had a kidney replacement op cos of damaged caused by this and STILL carried on drinking everyone would say they were a twat.

It's a ranking by football ability, not character.

If you don't think Best is one of Man United's best ever footballers, then frankly, your opinion's not worth dickie ****.

OLM beat me to it, why the hell should Best not be top 5? I think the list is based on how good the player was ON the pitch for Man Utd, not off it.

Id have him 6th, that makes him one of Utd's best ever footballers so your point is, erm..pointless. Which of my top 5 don't you agree with?

No Man United expert myself but I'd say Georgey Best was the best player to ever play for them.

I'd have thought that was obvious, Best isn't in it.

No Man United fan would ever have Best outside their top five players.
