They really love us don't they? Take a look at this idiot's number 11 http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...t-season-ever-english-football-134512131.html
Could work in our favour. It might galvanise the team. I prefer it like this than them patronising us with the "everybody's second club" rubbish. We should adopt the old Millwall chant "no one likes us, we don't care".
The author concentrates solely on the Premier League in his article about 'English football' and therefore completely ignores that it has been two of the most entertaining League One and Championship campaigns on record.
The readers ignore the obvious piss taking and humour in it. Wait no, you're right, its a media conspiracy against us. We're always the victim. Bwahahahaha!
Wonder if said author could find any northern cities on a map - or perhaps he's a bitter and twisted Watford fan
I hope many of us can heed David Soul's words. The second time we know what to expect- an article like this every week, excreted by some M25 media student, trying to make a name for 'edgy' quirky 'footy' writing. Surely people can't get so indignant every time and get caught up in the 'footy banter' vortex? (Although I admit to reacting in a Pavlovian fashion very time I see some turd in a LFC or MUFC top in town. These people's grandparents supported the Germans in WWII as the Krauts had a better army and more victories than we did)
Definitely, what annoys me about this article though, is that it's titled 'English Football' yet it only talks about the Prem, this has been one of the best NPC and League 1 seasons in memory. Not to forget that League 2 had a representative in a cup final.
The Championship relegation scrap was probably the best in English football history. The last day in terms of automatic promotion was pretty good (wouldn't have been as good if Watford didn't have 15 minutes of injury time) was exciting. The Play-Off scrap was pretty ****ing good. The League one last day was stunning for automatic promotion.
