Been linked with him today. Bruce is a big fan and versatile too can play RWB, RB and CB. No doubt he's a good player but would you want to see him with us next season?
Watson, Maloney and Boyce... http://www.thisishullandeastriding....tory-19014859-detail/story.html#axzz2TZUO2dis
God, I would REALLY like to see Maloney play for us, been seriously impressed with his attacking ability this season.
Both Boyce and Maloney would be great additions. Boyce just for his versatility and the fact he said he likes playing RWB because he enjoys running.
Watson would be the best signing of those three. Always rated him. Question marks on Maloney. Only really performed for half a season. He might have it, but I guess plenty of other teams know that now. Watson is that defensive midfielder we've missed. Can score too (albeit from the penalty spot)
I agree on Maloney, although I think there'll be bigger fish after him too. Is Bpyve the type of player were after? He's done his job in the prem but he's never really excelled. To me, macca Chester and Hobbs will all be capable of the step up, so do we want to add a 'do his job defender' into the team or add another real piece of prem quality (Figueroa' Turner, and I still won't be surprised with a bid for someone like O'shea).
Interesting listening to Niall Quinn towards the end of the Footballers Football Show on Sky the other night when he said the way Sunderland went about their business to get to the next level in the PL (i.e. above 17th spot) was to bring in top players on their way down in their careers but at a cost. Martin Tyler questioned this approach but to an extent it kinda worked for Sunderland having been in the PL for a few years now..
