Cesar has been asked to play the last game despite confirming he will most likely leave. is green injured? The Gunners have been linked with a move for Cesar but the former Inter Milan keeper is not prepared to comment about his next move. "It is confidential," Cesar told Sportv. "My future today is a question mark. I have three more years on my contract, but the manager has already made it clear that it will be hard for me to stay at the club. I am happy he thinks that way, it is a sign that my work is being recognised. I dedicated as much as I could to QPR. "He [manager Harry Redknapp] had told me that I wouldn't start any more games as I won't be staying at the club. Now he has asked me to play the last game, and that makes me happy. I will try to play well and do my best."
Hopefully they are both going, Green is an awful keeper, hes been at fault for an awful lot of goals.
He should have had the Arsenal goal and was partly at fault for the Bosingwa back pass where he was very slow to react. He could have stopped about half the goals Ive seen him concede at LR.
Yes Green is injured. He has a mental impairment which means he must gift at least one goal to the opposition during each game. Doctors are baffled but have called the condition Dodgykeeperitus.
That is slightly unfair. One of the few away wins we had, Southampton, was due to two top drawer saves from Rob Green. He is not the worst keeper by any means.
Every keeper makes great saves. Its the mistakes that separate the good from the awful keepers. Green is definitely in the latter, he has more mistakes that lead to goals in a month than other keepers do all season.
Green v Kenny. Your view awaited Flyer. Goalkeepers are a mystery to me. Haven't felt really secure since Parkes.
Might try and find some stats when I have time; you're probably right but just wonder if all the bad press is actually backed up by data. My w/e project.
Kenny in the last season for us was worse than Tony Roberts. Anything a yard either side of him was a goal. I was fine with cerny in goal but not anyone else in the last few years.
WE need fresh faith and Green is never going to give that to us ... Quick estimate that Green has personally wasted 31 minutes this season in total taking goal kicks. I have met Paddy Kenny and he is a nice bloke and a great keeper and certainly over the past three years tops them all IMO. Cerny did alright
One of the worst keepers in the league according to this. http://www.barriesview.com/2012/12/201213-premier-league-goalkeeper-stats
We've had a few dodgy ones to be sure but a few great ones as well. On balance I'd say the goalie has been our most consistent performer over the last 46 years or so. Neither Green nor Cesar leave me confident. It may be the modern game but what happened to the shot-stoppers who were not afraid to come off the goal-line and who pushed forwards out of the way to pluck the ball out of the air at corners?
Again there are deluded people here that believe we can only have the best at qpr. Anyone who thinks green will be useless in the championship and would throw him out without finding a genuinely better keeper are fools.
