wow, lucky sod. from 1882 FA Cup Final between Blackburn Rovers & Old Etonians. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22532857
I have the programme from first game at boothferry park - 1946 against Lincoln city - doubt it would be worth anywhere near that much haha
John Hawley has a copy of that programme, when my lad was about eight we were round at his house and John showed him it and told him that it was the programme from the first Boothferry Park game, my lad flicked through it and looked at the team sheet and said 'didn't you play in this game?'.
Now this news today has made me laugh. Serves those 2 money grabbers right. Well done to W.B.A. Pure Class. www.whoateallthepies.tv/man_utd/166...h-programmes-for-sir-alexs-farewell-game.html
I also heard on the radio this morning that a piece of chewing gum picked from the ground at the hawthorns is going on eBay as it may be saf's last piece of gum. Radio rental
Aren't you glad Harold Needler didn't get his way and change our name to Kingston Upon Hull City AFC and playing in that blue and orange kit with three downs as a badge? The songs would have been a nightmare, "give us a K..." would have gone on forever and " come on you crowns" doesn't quite have a ring about it.
I have a copy as well and a copy of the last game at Boothferry Park they are pictured in my avatar. As for the price paid for the programme mentioned it is always a dream of programme collectors and I suppose collectors of other items that they hit the jackpot with an item that is rare, like a 1933 old style penny.
The Fergie Farewell programme from sunday can now be bought for £4 face value. £25 indeed on ebay now ?. Lol,, Oh dear and the get rich quick scheme has fallen down big time.
I'm really glad West Brom did that. I'll admit that for our Playoff Final I bought an extra ticket and programme so that in future I'd have a stub and a programme I could hopefully sell on for a bit of money without giving up my own mementos, but buying several hundred copies of a programme is just taking the piss.
Just out of interest which Hull City programme would you consider the most valuble, or the most desirable in our history ?
