Regeneration of marketing possibilities which is why the club WILL probably 'go along with fan opinion' and bring the Robin back in some way, if it was gonna cost the club more than they could potentially make it would be described as 'no desire for it" I'm still not convinced the majority prefer the Robin, although I do like Ernie, whoever designed that did a good job..

It's Rovers crest as well, and has been. Why go back? Because the crest has clear deficiencies as a design. If you want something that is easily recognisable as BCFC, is easy to replicate and conveys a clear message it isn't the crest. Define its target market? It appears unattractive to kids, those of certain ilk and ages. If it was my business I would want more from it's "brand assets"'. Everything else is being sweated, so should the club's identity.

Ernie - the angry robin was more about the Eastend, pubs and creating an alternative which was easy for fans to recreate. Think it took people back how far it caught on. There lies a drawback with the crest, it isn't going on flags,it isn't being used the same way and if it was that good it should. Money to made by a good design and the crest isn't it.

That's no problem.plenty of pubs sporting the robin and not the crest. Robin and suspension bridge is known country wide. All know city as the robins. Silly to not make money out of that very clear identity.

Try defining professional? Then outline the benefits of using the crest v robin. Some of designs using Ernie are done by serious (professional?) artists e.g cheo. Money to be made using the Robin and it has a reach that the crest doesn't. Crest as a professional design is a failure on some levels as it gets ignored v other designs.

This poll is flawed. I really don't like the crest, but I REALLY don't like the current look of the robin, so I chose the crest.

If a proper designer was given a go at redesigning the Bristol City badge with a robin then I'd probably go mad for it.

This page was largely overlooked in the last post about this. This guy has done wonders with some other clubs and I reckon that a proper designer like this could make the Bristol City badge look fantastic.

Yet to see a poll that does not favour the Robin. Other polls with much larger sample sizes have had larger majorities in favour, one was 80% +. Nothing scientific about them though. Anybody without bricks in their eyes can see there are commercial opportunities, and other possibilities present by re-visiting traditional imagery i.e The Robin. The creative and streetwise amongst City support demonstrate that year on year.

Lets get to the point the Robin is traditional and is part of BCFC,the coat of arms is not related to BCFC in any way, it is related to Bristol as a city.

Bristol City FC are in Bristol what has unicorns got to do with Bristol City FC,Ipswich yes not Bristol.

If this poll was carried out at the gate i reckon three to 0ne in favour of the robin.

Because that is our clubs badge, the question was what would you prefer- without doubt the Robin it has always been a part of BCFC as the Red shirt in my time.
