Talksport is a standing joke, and is only worth listening to because it makes listeners feel intellectually superior than the muppets who present the shows.
If it is indeed him, and it looks like it is, then my view is that it's not good enough and far from professional. When you take the job that he has, then part of the deal is that you give up your right to behave like this - mainly because your body is required to be in tip top shape and because you are in the public eye with the club's reputation in your hands. This kind of behaviour and attitude is also directly linked to inadequate performance. I'm surprised so many have thought nothing of this given our club's mediocrity and the fact that this is a clear symptom of it.
There's nothing wrong with players enjoying themselves, but it's abit tactless after the diabolical season he's had and the club still being in a relagation battle when he was on this night out. He only had to wait one more week till the end of the season!
Not one clear picture of his face and lying down he looks a liitle bit fat to be him. Having said that, agree 100% about him being a limited footballer.
I simply cannot believe some of the posts on here. There is no way on Gods earth that any professional athlete can get pissed while still competing or in training. It is not like a job where a hangover is over in a day or two. If I was Paulo, I would kick his arse out of the club right now and play Colback at right back. We do not want this culture in the club. It eats away at the professional attitude we want for our players. You do not see this at top clubs. Do you remember what SAF did to Paul McGrath and Norman Whiteside at Man U. He booted them out for this kind of behaviour. McGrath was probably the top central defender in Europe at the time. Fans can do what they like, players cannot, simples.
Where is the evidence to suggest he is pissed? All I see is him posing for a daft photo that his mate is taking..
This. It's hard to tell if he was drinking or not but either way I think its bad that he's spent the night behaving like this when we were still very much in a relegation scrap, on top of the ****e season hes had for us. One more week, that's all he had to wait!
He wont have a problem come Sunday. Hopefully Colback gets the nod and Bardsley doesn't even make the bench. However the squad is that thin at the moment so who knows.
