Rio retires; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22536874 Good. He and United owe England a debt of precisely **** all. The previous nonesense could have been avoided but there you go, karma for chucking an eight month ban at him. This will no doubt be viewed as a scandal, conspicracy and disgrace all rolled into one by certain other boards.
DL probably writing a thread as we speak that he retired as he couldn't handle the threat of the mighty Gary Cahill.
Couldn't give a **** about any other boards, He owes England nowt, Roy treat him like a mug. I for one am glad he can just concentrate on UNITED.
You should check out the Chelsea one once in a while, full of threads about how Fergie retired because of them and because of Jose returning. He couldn't handle either!!! They are, to a man, ****ing idiots who talk utter ****. Think they're our rivals. Ask daveunited, he's over there all day.
Thanks mate but I think I will stick with people that talk sense , Lolerpool board is a laugh though ive been on there a couple of times.
I wouldnt go that far! Most of it is tongue in cheek and in good humour to be honest. I dont think anyone really believes SAF retired because Jose may be coming back, someone just made a thread linking an article that said as much. Now PISKIE and HIAG, thats obsession, they are obsessed with each other in all sorts of f**ked up ways!
Have never rated Gary Cahill. Bolton's poor defensive record that saw them relegated at the end of last season was already bad in the first half of the season that Cahill spent there before Chelsea signed him. Rio's made the right choice. Hodgson has never been straight with him and this way he can hopefully prolong his United career. Ferguson has been an advocate of players playing into their late 30s, having been inspired by the Milan team of a few years ago and I dare say he will advise the club to continue with this policy. With careful conditioning and preparation, Ferdinand can play to a high standard for a couple more years yet. He has had one of his best seasons in a United shirt this season, certainly United's improved defensive record since Christmas is in no small part due to him having been a constant in the team throughout that time.
He was always second to JT anyway. He was overrated and adored by the manc **** only. Good riddance to the prick.
Rio to sign new contract - I for one am relieved he had a great season and has been a massive help to the young lads ie Smalling, Jones, Rafael even Evans. And after smashing that goal against the Swans he is permanently sewn into Man Utds fabric. He seems to of gotten over last season's injury mare, and now looks great, I for one is chuffed!
