Probably not the worlds most loyal fans, but I'd challenge you to think of what more we could do as fans other than pack our stadium week in week out regardless of whats happening on and off the pitch.

Must have upset someone. I've been a healthy green since I joined.

 

Bottom line is the league table don't lie. The worst 3 teams (by quite a margin) got relegated.

Ourselves, while poor, were close to qualifying for the semis of the europa league and did have quite a few bad injuries and horrible decisions going against us. The mackems while also poor in results didn't play all that bad and wouldn't have struggled at all if they had managed to score some goals. Norwich had a great run in the midseason and on that alone secured their status. Southhampton's board did the right thing and replaced the manager when they did and grinded out results as they needed to. Villa played some good football with a very young team and as a credit to them, they are entertaining to watch. The only other team who I thought was consistently as poor as the 3 relegated teams was Stoke and I wouldn't have minded to see them go down at the expense of Wigan.

QPR and Reading were very dire, QPR was just hapless all season and Reading had a horrible run in the midseason which they never recovered from. Wigan were poor until March and while they fought to the end it just wasn't enough.

While we might still end up above West Ham and Fulham neither of them were ever in any danger, same goes for stoke.

Don't get me wrong, I think your current fan base is excellent and a credit to what has been a crap team this season. I'm just saying historically that's not always been the case.
