Don't forget Bruce got us Sess for 6m and Ming for 3.5m. Both have been key players for us. He also got Gards for 5m and sold Bent for a big profit. Bruce had many faults, but his transfer activity was not bad at all!

That's ridiculous, at the start of the season and up until half way he was the only ****er scoring. Didn't he also score like 5 goals in 6 games. We weren't creating chances so if it wasn't for his goals, we would be down.

    Mad you like.

Bruce would make a good director of football, I've always thought that. Wasn't Mignolet closer to 2m?

Fletcher was an absolute godsend, and he would be one of the last players I would be thinking of selling..

Gards for 5m is nothing to label as a good bit of business IMO.

Maybes not this season, but how many games has he played in his preferred role as an attacking midfielder?
He's spent most of his time playing right back for us!

He's been far from the worst of the bunch. But, he's mediocre at best in midfield. Not a great passer, not fantastic with the ball at his feet (but merely ok) and cannot head the ball. His runs and positioning are pretty poor too, although his work rate is decent. That's simply not good enough for CM or CAM in this league. If he has a future at our club it would be as backup RB where he surprisingly holds his own. He's a 2m player at best in my view.

:laugh: i hope not, for your sakes and mine pal!

rb, lb, cb, rw, cmid, striker, striker - equals 7 quality players required. but, if we get 6 'michu types' at around 2.6 mill each, that's only 15.6 mill. add another 10-15 on top for a star player and i don't see us going over 25, 30 absolute max

first team keepers: mig, oshea, n'diaye, johnson, sess, fletch
squad players: westy, colback, brown, mangane, bardo, gardner, catts, whickham, graham
youth coming through: mandron, egan, laing, mars, laidler??

out go: bramble, killa, vaughan, larsson, cuellar, mcclean, noble

if we spend over 50 i'll cycle in my duds; 75 and i'll be starkers.
