That was last summer. From what James Chester has said i dont see Aston Villa apealing at all. Plus its an Awful part of the country.
If Wigan win there last 2 games then it will be Sunderland who fill the 3rd relegation place as they end @ Tottenham on sunday. Villa will struggle again next season especially if they lose Benteke which seams rather likely as CL clubs want him.
I read somewhere (if I can find the link, I'll add it in) that Chezzy's 2nd contracy offer was worse, financially, than the first......What was that all about? Here we are: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...mes-Chester-out-of-Aston-Villas-clutches.html
What a shoddy piece ^^^^ this is. Chester told both the HDM and Burnsy after the Cardiff game that he was close to signing his new contract especially now that we are in the PL which was his main concern. As things stand James Chester is under contract until June 2014 anyway.
Can you explain exactly why this is 'shoddy'? I would suggest neither you nor I know if the details of the lower 2nd contract offer are true or not. There seems a real determination on this baord to rubbish anything written about us in the national press. It was the same with a Guardian piece last week. People queued up to slate the article as being appalling until I actually asked someone to tell me what was specifically wrong with it, as in my eyes it was a) fair and b) accurate. Funnily enough the queue of knockers stopped immediately, simply because nobody could do either. Yes criticise articles if they are ill-written, I'm sure there will be many before the new season starts, but we cant just criticise every article.
Aston is a truly **** area but only 6 miles north it's lovely. (I live there. A lone Tiger surrounded by depressed Blues and deluded Villa fans.) Tonight I'm watching the game with a Villan and really looking forward to his rants on how Arsenal are jealous of Villa and need them to be relegated so Wengers master plan can come into action. I'll just be sat there pissing myself.
Stalker. Just read it ffs. James Chester has said in the local media since Cardiff that he has no issues with a new contract and now that we are in the PL he expects it all to be sorted out. Very true. But a Wigan win tonight and SUNDERLAND will have more than a squeaky bum come sunday 4pm. Now that is a very good question and it maybe the the bit that is still being worked on.
