time to say what you want

This time last year Newcastle United were looking forward to making a foray into Europe after bagging their best Premier League finish since the Bobby Robson era.

However, 12 months on, and Alan Pardew’s Newcastle side have had to fight tooth and nail in order to book a place in next year’s cash-laden top flight.

But where did it all go wrong? Who is to blame? Did they take a gamble when they failed to bring in just one senior player last summer? And what does the future hold?

Which star men should United target to improve their predicament and how long should Pardew get in order to turn things around?

Here is your chance to tell us your views in this summer’s Big Toon Survey on the 2012/13 season.

It would be interesting to see how many of the surveys will be deleted due to obscene language <laugh>

    Completed it.

Don't be surprised if Pardew or MA + DL gets asked some very direct and slight finger-pointing questions by me.

I don't think that my questions will be answered, but it will make for interesting reading.

Europe league is where it went wrong. Don't have the squad to even compete in the cups, let alone playing twice every week. It's double the workload. Think we'll be back competing for places 8-11 next season, with Pardew or not. I really don't think many of our fans understand how much playing in europe changes the game. Instead of having 4.5 days a week to train you're suddenly looking at 2 days of training and an extra day of rest. It changes everything.

The only decisions I really fault Pardew for is alienating both Harper and Simmo, and in part Anita. Simmo should have played ahead of Debuchy, why Debuchy played on Sunday is beyond me. Harper should have been ahead of Elliot all the time.

Colos injury hurt us massively, we've been leaking goals all season and that is why we were in so much trouble. Santon, no Colo, no left back/MYM and Debuchy who were new to the league just couldn't handle it.

    Done with my Not606 name...

My Question to Pardew - why can Anita not get a sniff when it's clear that Cabaye and Tiote have been terrible? How can you justify leaving a top prospect like Anita on the bench?

    Don't blame Europe.
Blame Ashley and co. for lack of investment in players. They waited till Jan when we were playing Willo twice a week on a regular basis before they decided it was time.

It's a decent idea, but frankly, the club will never see the results... we'll all end up with even more spam in the inbox!
