Seems as if RM has been given the boot, crazy to me. Fans loved him as well.

Whats the point in sacking him they can't expect to win the title every season surely, they need to look at their neighbours and take a leaf out there book IMO...

Mancini to Chelsea now or is Jose still going there? I think he'd do a top job at chelsea

Think he'd do a top job here. Better than the present incumbent.

Ridiculous! "Missed most of the club's targets this season". What, 2nd in the league and got to a cup final!

If every team sacked managers for that performance then Fergie would have been long gone.

These multi billionaire owners are destroying the game with their fantasy football.

Misread what you said there sorry, thought you said there as in chelsea, rather than here lol.

Mancini would never come here, be interesting to see who he goes to, reckon he could go to Madrid?

  8. As much as I agree that a club should stand by their manager, Mancini didn't make things easy for himself.

What happened to last seasons offensive Man City? RM reverted to his defensive ways of 2011-12 season.

With the money and players they have, they shouldn't be thirteen points behind!

Man City won the league last season despite having Mancini as manager, not because of him!

Mistake. Poor season, but mistake. Fans loved him, and you simply can't buy that.

Perhaps they will offer us £50m to buy out Pardew's contract.

Oh and he will want to take Shola & Jonas with him for a combined £40m.

Think he'd be happy to take just Jonas with him for the £40m.

Man City have what all us dream of... great players capable of playing attacking football. Really, our manager's can be forgiven for being negative, we don't have the ability to sign such players, but Mancini ultimately hasn't been. If they went for Mourinho, he'd be sacked in 12 months too.

Silly but you could see what was coming. Sad times to be a manager. Bar the cash that is. Obviously a bit crazy but they have so much money they won't suffer for it.

Bit of a head scratcher really. On the one hand this season's performance really doesn't merit a sacking. But on the other, given the sort of money he's had to play with, you can say he's underperformed. I mean he's really been bankrolled into creating the most exciting team on the planet... and well it hasn't happened. I think too, with some justification, given the amount of money that's been sunk into the team the owners really wanted to see some success in Europe (not necessarily winning the champions league, but at least being a competitor).

Of course this is the sort of job tailor made for Mourinho, so maybe this is just deck clearing.

I think Mancini is overrated. How much has he spent over the years? Really?
Roque Santa Cruz, Bellamy, and in recent years Dzeko... Players who could contribute got frozen out, Tevez , Balotelli.
This man had an open cheque book to win the league. They have 2 players at every position, and yet this season has been a runaway victory by their rivals.

Ok so to all this you might say money doesn't guarantee you success right? Fine Fine.....

Then look what he goes on to say? He goes on to say that he was unhappy he didn't get the funds last summer to buy more players!
    What the flying ****?
He blames the inability to SPEND , as the key reason they were unable to retain the title, that does it for me. So it's now the players he has aren't good enough. Hell, Manchester United don't even have that great a lineup, and yet they are able to win the league(granted, they're a different monster)

I just feel with that kind of open chequebook, he has only won 1 league in what 3 or 4 years? He's spent possibly hundreds of millions every year and I think they were right to sack him. If they manage to get Gus Hiddink or any of the German top brass, Man City may become a real powerhouse team, not the pretenders of Mancini.
