Since he has come back into the side following the Reading game, he hasn't I recall ever put a foot wrong. Chipped in a goal and a useful assist and kinda scored with the McCauley own goal (Just the intimidating presence of Ryan Bennett made McCauley head into his own net, honest.) plus some top last ditch challenges. Looks like he could be a top player as long as he doesn't challenge any more Arsenal fans to fights!

I agree he is certainly looking a very useful prospect. Good to have 3 CB challenging for the 2 spots. While Turner is still a starting choice RB will push him very hard next year. Good with the ball at his feet and improving all the time as a physical presence you can see why PL bought him. Generally seems a sensible lad to bar his recent outburst on twitter haha

If even if Turner was fit for Man city I don't think you could drop Ryan, he's been excellent. His development will be greatly increased by playing with Seb.

Now we are safe I agree. Turner has been excellent for the most part but he will have to work hard to compete with RB now. Competition for places is excellent for the club!

great to see him play a lot, he had to put up with a lot of bench time
the times gave him an 8 out of 10 rating yesterday along with pilks and hoolers.

anyone else think he looks a bit like jake humphrey?

He was quality yesterday, steady, calm and read the game well. I'm interested to see how he fairs against the tricky forwards Man City posses.

Not really, But seen him in Sainsburys a few times, once with Elliot and I must say he is bloody tall and I wouldn't like to tangle with him. They looked a bit odd together I must say.

I think he benefits from CH rating him. It will be interesting to see if we chase another CB in the summer to improve the squad or if CH feels that RB has improved enough to merit either being a starter or having the first reserve berth for next season and he concentrates spending in other areas. Generally do people think that Curtis Davis (for example) is a better prospect for us given the transfer fee and wage we would have to pay to get him or a comparable player on board? It would be nice to have some of our younger players come through but there is a risk that the need for instant success will mean that players like the Bennet's never get a look in and move on after only a few chances to impress.

It will also be interesting to see how many of our impresive U-18's get a chance in a League Cup game or something next season.

Ryan has been class since he took over from Turner.

    Jake Humphrey is a nob.

I also think that he has been excellent and will continue to develop his game. CB is a position where experience is important, though, so I do think CH will be looking to bring in another quality CB to replace Barnett.

I think we need 4 centre backs - Bassong, Turner, Bennett and one new addition. Barnett, Ward and Ayala to leave.

Bennett looks a great prospect for the future. he seems to thrive on pressure and plays above his age and experience. but i do believe that playing alongside Bass helps.

He was awful against stoke. His passing was horrendous.

dissapointingly no ryan in the euro 2013 squad as just annouced

odd one as he was in the squad and played when he was warming the bench for us, but now he's had a few good games, he's been overlooked.

I thought he was brilliant vs West Brom. I was concerned that Lukaku would run him ragged but Bennett really kept him quiet. I dont think Lukaku won any headers which really shows how well Bennett competed in the air.

There's a quota of over 21's and with rod well coming back ryan missed out. Shame but got to take the positives, he might have got injured and out for the beginning of the season.
