I agree, my advice to some people on here is to find some hobbies or get a social life, because there is nothing worse then seeing people take the Internet seriously.

You are right, opinions are there to be shared and discussed. When I found that I could barely be heard, let alone argue my case, in a discussion I decided it was time to remove myself until we were safe. Specifically, when people started yelling that we were as good as down two weeks ago (when actually we were in a better situation than at least 5 clubs), I was frustrated with that.

As for being a part of the yes-men brigade, f I believed that Hughton had done anything wrong, I would have criticized him. If you look back to the start of the season, I was calling for almost exactly the system Hughton played this year. While it may not have gone ideally, I still believe that the system was good and the players the problem. When I was ridiculed for suggesting it could have been the players and not the manager who were the problem, I was officially done.

That said, I'm back now YL and willing to debate anything you fancy.

 

It used to be that you could not criticise the team or the manager on this board, now with the change of participants (specifically supers, wonky et al leaving and carrabuh being shouted down), it seems a crime to fail to criticise them. If I believed that any opinion would have a fair crack of the whip, I would have been more interested in sharing mine for the last few weeks.

 

Fair enough, to be fair I would give him another season, because I don't want us to have to change manager. I think he as a manager will have learnt a bit from yesterday's games about the players. That being one of the first times I have seen Howson being given the chance to get forward he may start to implement that into our tactics.

Sorry I went on an outburst a little, just nothing rankles me more than credentials as a fan start being questioned on a forum.

 

Yeah, I'll agree with that. I wasn't saying those people aren't fans, I just felt that the environment here was hysterical and ridiculous. Glad to see it has settled now.
