    Wigan, Aston Villa, or Sunderland?

    (for the sake of argument, not including Fulham or Southampton as the results to send them down are mere technicalities, can't see 2 games being won 12-0 each)

    Wigan for me. We always struggle at the JJB and they're not a Prem team. The derby's always pretty good and Villa are usually pretty generous with points...relegation season aside...

    I posted this on the Mackem board and this is now my preferred scenario.......

    "Perfect scenario (as a Newcastle fan) is Wigan beat Arsenal 4-0. It'll make the last day more entertaining, and its the law that we enjoy you suffering. You then get a massive beating of Spurs 6-0. We hump Arsenal and results go our way meaning we end up in a wholly unlikely 10th place.

    However I'd then like Villa to to draw with Wigan (4-4 last minute equaliser by Bent). This means you have been saved by your figure of hate/1 goal difference and we retain the derbies.

    The only downside would be Spurs playing in the CL instead of Arsenal but I'm pretty unmoved to that situ at the top anyway.

    Now how nippy arse would that be? (although my quickfire dubious maths is probably going to be pointed out as incorrect)"

    Villa for me for THAT season and THAT game.

    I dont want Sunderland to go down because next season I want revenge.

    Wigan - taking out the game we lost and they assaulted our LB they are a well ran small football club. The fact that they beat the money men man city speaks volumes for what is inbred in the their nature of play (and our lack therof).

    I just hate Villa now but not quite as much as Stoke ****ty!

    It's hard to pick. I think I'd like Sunderland to stay up for the derbies. On the other hand I am worried about the horses. It's probably Villa I'd like to see go down the most.

    Not even worth debating. Wigan are as good as down after yesterday's results. Can only see them getting a point at best off Arsenal.

    Although Villa fans did go on like bell ends when we went down, I want them to stay up because they are a dying breed in our rotten land - giving young players a chance, local young players at that. They are doing it the right way.

    Villa for me for their unneccassary gloating.. before that they didn't bother me one way or the other (apart from their accents of course, but that's ..justifiable)

    A year in the Championship will do their fans a world of good methinks..

    Plus.. Wigan are a relegation waiting to happen..so Wigan WILL be gone, never to darken the PL again in the very near future

    They've become too big for their boots.

    They are nothing more than a pumped-up Championship side.
