Did Gandalfe win the horse race-majiga? I bare no culpability if not...

But get all the praise if so!

That's disgraceful. If he'd have brought Shola on to finish the job after 60 minutes, it might have been fine! Bloody Pardew! <grr>

Well, some opinions are provocative and spark strong opinions against – but that's what this place is for.

I'd have thought we'd be getting far more divisive feedback on this season's farce than the idea of flogging Debuchy!

Picking him out for special criticism isn't really a slur on the lad within the context of this team...

    If it didn't win then it's Pardew's fault! <grr>

Finished 4th "Not fluent and mistakes, in touch in rear of main group, switched right and effort before 11th, left 4th before 3 out, closed on leaders after 3 out, no impression and held when mistake last" These were the comments from the racing post. Sounds like our midfield <laugh>

Sorry mate, normally I tend to agree with you but I think you're wrong on this one.

Yes, he didn't play well today (certainly 1st half) and hasn't played to his potential, but I'm sure that criticism could be levelled at half the team.

Don't think either of the penalties were penalties, and the sending off was more frustration than anything else.

Something else that may not help is that, since he came in he's played 13 matches with 7 different back fives.

I think he managed to play in the same back five for three matches on the trot - that's never going to help anyone, especially a player who has arrived in January and is expected to hit the ground running.

Let's judge him after a proper pre-season and stop knee jerking like an epileptic hit by a taser

Ha ha ha, I like this. But who fires a taser at an epileptic?

I suppose a twitchy-fingered epileptic might shoot himself with a taser, particularly if he was on crowd control at a Jean Michel Jarre concert.

However if a knee-jerk decision was ever required, I'd say the HR person at that security firm had questions to answer...

Just came back from a walk outside to clear my head and I've had a drink.

Wanted to apologise for this thread.

I've been under a lot of stress lately due to getting this ****ing new job sorted out and I'm unusually on edge.

I apologise for letting old habits creep back like this.

I'm still frustrated with Debuchy, but I realise selling him would be stupid.

You sir are an inspiration to us all, what else is going on in your personal life? What else is getting you down? You can tell your uncle Richard.

I understand the mockery, and I don't really expect people to accept a ****ty apology. Just saying, that's all.

Well that's quite alright. Take some solace in the fact we've definitely got another term in this shambles of a league.

In the meantime I've realised selling him would be stupid too, mainly due to the fact however there are no expected bids...

    Whatsover. Nada, nil, niente.

    Off for a walk... :D

You're too apologetic, you should take things easy, this is just a forum, not parliament. :)

So far, Debuchy has shown himself to be not as good as Simpson defensively, and only slightly better going forward. However, once he has settled in he should be a fantastic player for us.

Yep. Give the lad time. He has the quality, just needs to settle in and be part of a team that actually plays with some confidence. <ok>

No need to apologize Tash; no one gave a **** anyway. The summer begins here; good things will happen. This man will lead us to top four glory next year:
