come on...its all about man utds achievement and the send off for sir Alex.....its not about us is it....
It doesnt matter what the game is. It is still about the game and the team first or so it should be. without us and the other 91 teams there would be no Ferguson. I think the guy is incredible and has been superb. But lets remeber there were 2 teams there today. Sky could have at least had a balanced panel. I cant remeber any time when they havent. And where did I say it should be about us.
We give utd a real chasing second half, looks like fergie is getting out at just the right time!! I am gutted we lost the game as we didn't deserve it, lets be honest there was no way on erth the ref was going to give us anything today, not one 50/50 went our way. Laudrups way of playing is incredible when it comes off, utd could not get near us at times. glad we have ended the season strongly the future is looking good, we just need to sort out the defence
Most definitely Mr Laudrups team , he's brought us to a much higher level ,one which shows we're a match (on our day) for anything this league can offer.
I think we did ourselves really proud today. It was always going to be a Man Utd media frenzy, and quite rightly so. We had chances to win it and a draw was probably the fairest result but you can be sure we picked up the respect of a lot of neutrals today and no doubt we will become the new 2nd team for some.
An important thing to remember is that prospective new signings will be watching that game and thinking Swansea looks a great option. If we are shopping for a centre forward then im sure he could see a lot of chances created for him the way we play the game, add the Laudrup factor and we look as good a product as anything else in the prem league..of course if its money only then we are ****ed !..
Definitely our achilles heel, this is a facet of play that lets us down time after time .Before it was Dorus and to some extent Vorm who weren't / aren't that commanding in the box ,now we have a keeper who is a lot more so but now the defenders let him down .we'll get it right one day
It was always going to be a tough one today, what with old Bacon face throwing in the towel, and lets be honest some thought we'd be on the end of a cricket score, which was never going to happen in my view, as we are simply to good for that, and always raise our game for the big teams, so I'm very happy and proud of our boys today, and pleased we are ending our season on a positive note, lets just get the 3 points next week, as Laudrup deserves it, best manager since Martinez in my opinion, great season indeed!........................
I'm still gutted we didn't get at least a point. That second half performance was as good as anything I have seen since we were promoted to the PL. With a few quality signings next season I think another top 10 finish is on the cards.
Laudrup has managed the club with total dignity and made the signings that kept us in the prem league and won us a cup, never in my lifetime will i ever witness such an inspired choice of manager for our club..Micheal Laudrup FFS !! im still pinching myself he is our manager and it turns out he does everything it says on the tin! What a nice humble bloke though, no bullshit with him, just wants to coach the team and enhance his CV along the way. He will go one day but lets enjoy having a world legend at our club
Well you can pinch yourself a bit longer " Michael Laudrup has insisted he wants to remain with Swansea City for their European campaign next season but hinted that he may consider offers after that. Laudrup's side lost 2-1 at Manchester United's farewell party for Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford but other results meant the Swans are assured of finishing ninth. The Dane said: "Next season I want to try to consolidate Swansea. There is a lot of challenge there, we're playing in Europe and we would like to have that experience as a club, as a team, and I would like to be a part of that. Then let's see what happens in the future." He claimed that finishing in the top 10 of the league was an even greater achievement than winning the Capital One Cup. "This season will always be remembered for the cup but to be in the top 10 is something really, really great," Laudrup said. "Money is not all in life, and not in football, but it's quite important and to have the lowest budget in the league means to finish in the top 10 may be an even bigger result. "Our aim has to be to try to consolidate in mid-table. That sounds a bit arrogant but we finished 11th last year and eighth or ninth this season. That's what we have to aim for next season as well. And it won't be easy as I know some of the clubs below us want to spend heavily, so it's another huge challenge."
Some great quotes there Bonymaen! great expectations await us......................... please log in to view this image
I think most of us are thinking one more year,i beleive he only signed that extension to protect the club not himself. The origional deal will stand as far as im concerned ,2 yrs ,get himself back on track a bit of time away them into a big club to finish off his coaching days.
