Nick - Do you not believe in our system of courts, justice and penalties? Troy Deeney was rightly found guilty of Affray - he did not try to deny it and he accepted his punishment. In mitigation - if there could be any - his own brother was being attacked at the time which was about 2 a.m. and most of those involved were drunk -or at least had too much to drink. He was wrong, he was punished - how many times more should he be punished - you clearly know more about justice than the Courts. I think you will find that a certain Tony Coton was a bad boy whom GT rehabiliteted - so if you want a precedent from the great man that would be it. Troy apologised to his victim - who suffered a broken jaw - not a broken nose like someone recently I can think of and whose assailant is not judged at fault. Let it go - everyone should be given a second chance - he seems a normally very nice young man - normally.
Just got back home from the game and wanted to offer my congratulations, best team on the day won and good luck at wembley!
Great post I'd imagine most of us have needed a second chance one way or another (it's all right - i'm not accusing everyone of scrapping outside Paradise Lost or the various other incarnations it had) in our lives. We don't know why they decided to give him another chance - it could have been because he is such a good player or because he also genuinely showed contrition and wanted to put it right. Certainly in his interviews he's come across as a decent enough lad. I wonder if Arsenal fans ever had the same discussions about Tony Adams........
Good evening Waford, congratulations for today, thoroughly deserved win, that final goal was unreal! Good luck for the final.

Al - I've watched that on the Sky website 3 times now, love it more than the actual replay of the goals Zola interview is also on there.
Shame to see some empty seats, mainly the restricted view ones in the Vic Rd end, but what an atmosphere. I had been watching the stream and listening to Jon Marks even if they were not in sync. Lost the audio middle of second half, so turned up the volume on the stream. It was almost impossible to hear the commentator because of the noise. Easy to say it should be like that every week, but how often do we see a game like that one? Sure that there is a two way connection between team and players, and both of them did their bit today.
Hogg deserves some credit for his part in the winning goal--he ran the length of the pitch to get in position by the far post to head back for Deeney. Actually, all three goals were great weren't they?
You shouldn't bother Lenny - you could have gambled your house on who would be on here throwing out negatives about today...it was just a matter of time. Best policy is to just ignore the troll...
What seems to have been lost in the ecstasy of the end of the game is the incredible first goal from The Otter and the work he put in today....
Leonardo's comments about Tony Coton really bring one down memory lane. When he was involved in a well publicised fracas in a pub it was glorified in a terrace song. Shows how times change
Second one wasn't too bad either. What we have all forgotten is to say thank you to that cheating little scamp Knockaert too - we may not have won without his Olympic Diving Skills.
Spot on he totally pi&&ed me off all game for his diving and clowning around - pleased to hear he's distraught maybe next time he'll get on playing football rather than going for an oscar
