Would love to hear the commentary of the couple of minutes again. Under calmer circumstances of course.
Troy has more than made for his lapse in the final game of the season again DIRTY Leeds!!! Yes he was a troubled young man but since his return he has been immense throughout the season! his performance today is indescribable, totally worthwhile of his place in the team and squad! He is making his way into the 'Legend' status! IMHO!
I gave it a miss this morning, partly due to a late one last night. Cheffed to see the result now !!!
ITS SIMPLE...he scores goals so who cares about morals, image of club etc (course if he was a defender people would probably have him hung). Imagine Mr Taylor putting up with him Albert after the conviction? He may not have risked wot could only be a 'lapse'...as he's goalscorer. Anyway, dont suppose people even wanna think about it this particular afternoon ....the Shandies are on Al of well worn 'Dirty Leeds' and Bucks The Non Grump
I hate to add a sour note on such a fantastic day, but the Manchester Broadcasting Corporation's Final Score has been on for 25 mins and they haven't even mentioned one of the most amazing games of all time. Has big ears Lineker band all comment on it?
Blimey Nick, just try and crack a smile buddy. Were you not celebrating when Troy struck the winner? Will you refuse to celebrate it Troy scores the goal that sends us up? Most people have there demons, wether documented or not, and in Troy's case he is move than deserves his second chance.
Just watched the game, last few minutes were fantatstic and are well up there in footballing moments. Heartbreak for Leicester and joy for us. Guess this is the new Watford way huh?
Just back...what a cracking game. Don't think I could stand that level of tension every week. Great atmosphere and support today...even the Upper Rous was rocking. That was a real team performance and, though it might seem unfair to pick out individuals I haven't seen Ekstrand or Anya ever play better. The former won the ball countless times without his usual error and Anya was a constant threat all afternoon. Heartening to see Vydra rediscover his finishing touch and the value of Almunia's experience. Even so, a script writer would have struggled to make a more dramatic ending. A couple of question marks before the final. Abdi was not his usual self and did not seem to be moving freely towards the end of the game. The more I see of Briggs the more I think he's an inexperienced centre back and quite unsuited to the wing back role. That said, some of the football in the second half would have more than worried CP or Brighton. Let's hope we can reproduce it... Right, time for a beer or two...
What an INCREIBLE game! I was almost reluctant to go midweek, as I really wasn't confident. I am so glad I went. Am I correct in thinking Gino Pozzo was on the pitch in front of the Rookery just after the first pitch invasion?!
Bucko, tell all that to the one who was assaulteds family, and be pleased it wasnt one of yours.(which it obviously cant have been). Was a really serious beating Bucko, he got off very lightly. Dont wanna discuss anymore, no good with someone of such narrow vision. Over & Out
It's not just about goals. I voted for TD as my player of the season in part because he truly seems to have learnt his lesson. Jesus, if you are not allowed a chance to pay for your mistakes then what kind of a world do we live in. All credit to Troy for turning it around.
