Gut wrenching for the fans. But you've played your part in a terrific Championship season. All the best for next season.
Scarbs i love your positivity but next seasons Championship is gonna be as hard as they come, Qpr, Reading, and 1 from Wigan, Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland, your looking at 2 automatic contenders just in that lot for me.
I echo the OP, for about 10 minutes after our game versus Cardiff finished, we felt almost as sick as you will. You must feel truly rotten right now. Best of luck for next season, enjoy your summer. Oh and who gives a **** if it was a dive or not, get over petty rivalries and show some humility.
Been times as Hull City supporters Mike that ALL we had was the hope....that maybe...just maybe...next season would be the one. we sure have had a great time since we moved to the KC..
You mean like Bolton and Blackburn this season? Before they scored the winner and we had our peno, you could tell Watford were the better side, some of their passing was immense. I was actually thinking that it would be better if we stayed in the Championship ... then i forgot we had rich owners who would overhaul the team if we actually did go up, so stopped worrying about it
If Wigan go down (heavy favourites I think) they'll probably struggle. QPR will be like us under Sven - awesome on their day but not enough good days. Too many big money wasters. Reading have said they will spend and may be a threat - but we all know spending doesn't guarantee success. Plus I can't see any of the sides coming up doing much. Will be interesting to see what Bolton, Blackburn and Brum do though. Hopefully we'll lose that ridiculous "favourites" tag the bookies keep giving us - we always do better when we're not fancied.
I feel really sorry for all you genuine Leicester City fans and would like to thank those of you sporting enough to come on to our boards with your congratulations. No conscilation to you but if your lad hadn't gone for the penalty you would probably be in the Premiership next season. Heat of the moment and all that but it was wrong in what he did. AKCJ when you put your glasses on look at the tv coverage and listen to all the "experts opinions" no one thought it was a penalty and the camera does not lie.In the last month we had so many bad ref's descisions go against us that if half were removed alone we would have gone up automatically. Wish Leicester all the very best next season and hope you make it then, good luck guys
Thanks ... although if it happened the other way around, it would have been a stonewall peno. If Anya went down like that with Morgan sticking his arm up with no chance of getting near the ball, there wouldn't be one complaint.
I see were your coming from Gangsta, i just think Qpr will do a Newcastle and run away with it. Like you say it will probably be Wigan who will come down but i think they will keep hold of most of that current team and lets face it what they lack in ability they more than make up for in belief, worthy Cup winners yesterday. Again Reading will have agood spine but thinking about it so do you. Can't compare Blackburn to these teams because there owners are mental, no team who change managers like they do will achieve a thing.
Sorry about that foxes... really wanted you to go through and thought you had it. You'll win it next year.
QPR reeks of a team of mercenaries, the only thing they have going for them is Redknapp. He's one of those managers that will convince Prem players to drop into the Championship. But they have loads of work to do to get themselves fit for FFP, otherwise they could be facing point deductions and who-knows-what. It might not be so much who they can sign as who they can get rid of and manage with what's left. Wigan will not keep hold of that team. McManaman will probably go to Liverpool or Everton even if Wigan stay up. Many others will have caught the eye yesterday too. Funnily enough, that performance could effectively back-fire on them, as the Prem vultures circle the carcass. Blackburn's owners (and Forest's for that matter) will learn from their mistakes this season. Chopping and changing will get you nowhere. They need to pick their man and stick with him.
I hope we never have to go through the bloody playoffs again! It's automatics or I don't give a **** next season!
Cant pretend im bothered much about Leicester City the club as im a one man team, BUT i do feel for you lads n lasses on n606 coz you are all a good lot and it would have been right to continue reading the banter n laughs with you next season. Good luck for next season
Hard luck lads, it was a decent game and could easily have gone either way. That was never a penalty though.
May have been looking for it, but the Watford defender did himself no favours with his arms and no chance of reaching the ball. Doesn't matter anyway, it helped them win.
