In what respect? It has no bearing on the results, that is simply down to his preparation and the players performing which has been sub standard for most of this season. It won't play any part in QPR, action not words are what count on the pitch.

If you mean in terms of keeping his job though, he certainly is not doing himself any favours. The trail of fallen men is a long one for those who have crossed Ashley through the press or otherwise. Blokes like that don't take kindly to any criticism, justified or not.

Whilst I'm in the ever shrinking corner of people who believe Pardew shouldn't be sacked I think he's got wind of his impending managerial doom. I agree with Warm Pouch that the criticism of thin Mike whilst probably justified is a strange way to hand in your resignation.

I think its me and you left Jim in the whole of our support <laugh>, and his latest gambit will have Mike joining that club. Pressure undoubtedly weighing heavily.

I think the blame lies squarely on the shoulders of Ashley and the bugger who nicked his keys during his emotional celebration after Cisse's last gasp winner against Stoke, the key to the tactic cupboard was on the ring and Ashley refused to spend the money on a locksmith. The writing was on the wall for poor old Al despite the win.

NUFC: Mathieu Debuchy returns from suspension but Tim Krul, Shola Ameobi and Moussa Sissoko won't play again this season. Sylvain Marveaux and Davide Santon are reported to be training again but it remains to be seen whether they are involved while Steven Taylor isn't expected to feature

They sneaked that in quietly. Bugger. There Pardew's corner tactics.

Some truly devastating rumours that Williamson will start in place of Taylor. If that's true...well...it's over already.

    Noooooo! <yikes>

Is Haidara still not fit? I thought he was back for this one, allowing MYM to move to CB with Colo.

Saying that, how ironic would it be if the goal that saved us was a Willo header from a corner. He'd be a hero. <laugh>

Very surprised Taylor couldn't muster up the strength to play. Thought he was our local boy who'd run through walls to keep us up? I have a suspicion he really doesn't want to be part of what might befall us this afternoon...

Perhaps I'm being harsh, but I'm really surprised he isn't playing in our hour of need.

<yikes> that back five really worries me! And still a place for Jonas!

I hope Colo and Benni can carry this team.

Let's just hope Williamson can score his fair share of 'phase two or even three' headers

Have to say I'd have started Simpson ahead of Debuchy and Stephen Hawking instead of Jonas.

Going to be such a tense day, especially after Wigan yesterday, if they aren't too fatigued they could definitely get something at Arsenal after their performance yesterday so we have to go out and do the business today.

He'll probably get the same ratio of those as every other Toon player has this season.
