I must say I'm amazed to see Baby Mix still rated 137 after showing absolutely nothing in 3 runs last season. He's clearly at his best on a sound surface though and if finding his form he could play a hand here at nice price.

Bookies haven't priced it up yet but the Sporting Life tissue have Forgotten Voice as 5/1 fav followed by Turn Over Sivola at 7/1 and the Paul Nicholls pair of Mr Mole and Toubab at 8/1.

There are a couple of interest down the bottom in the shape of Red Inca and Barizan, the 4YO Deepsand is unexposed and gets a nice allowance but the one I like at this stage is John Ferguson's Cry Of Freedom who looks to be finally getting his act together over hurdles. He won a decent race last time out at Taunton on Gd-Firm, making all and using his speed and class (despite some slightly awkward jumps) to repel all challengers. He is up 6lbs for that but I can imagine them employing the same front-running tactics again here and surely has a major chance in this.

Some rain showers forecast so will have to see how the ground is riding tomorrow, any "soft" in the going would probably put me off Cry Of Freedom.

    Thoughts appreciated as always <ok>

Its put some rain down around these parts so i wouldn't be surprised if the going is changed to Good to Soft... There are a few runners who would prefer it more on the good side than soft, though it might not make too much difference...

My preference would be for Red Inca... Should be a good race this...<ok>
