We should definitely keep him, even if only for cover and the odd game. Not being negative, but he could be useful if we get relegated back to the Championship.

we should have never allowed him to be out-of-contract in the first place... no matter which league we were to be in!

Steve Agnew just been on humberside saying they will go back in pre season with 3-5-2 been the preferred formation and its how modern football is going

But they will also use 4-4-2 when they have to. You need an adaptable squad especially in the PL.

The value of players like Rosie - Fathi - McShane - Bruce jnr as examples is that they can play in a few positions.

    Yes from me

I can only remember him being beaten by a winger on the ground twice, I think one might have been Jay Emmanuel-Thomas? If he stops half the Premier League wingers he is worth keeping.

Totally agree. If we go in set up to play one formation we'll get ****ing murdered and the management wont be doing their job.

For me yes, he is a very good player, and I am sure that we will not be using 352 all next season, so as a right back he is a good player to have.

Agreed with recent post regarding this 4231 formation I would always prefer 4 at the back than 3 but the 2 holding DM positions and 3 attacking mids is giving huge advantage in defence as well as attack.

Based on this formation I would go:

    New GK. (Simon Moore?)
    Rosenior. Chester. Hobbs. Dudgeon.

    Meyler. Quinn.

    Elmo. Koren/new mid? Brady.

    New Striker

No no no no no no no no no. It seems like i am in the minority when it comes to hull fans but the majority when it comes to fans of every other single club in the country who dont rate him. There is a reason he hasnt been in the prem for so long! Defensively he is pretty good but going forward he offers very very little. Good for a decent championship side but not for the premier league.

Absolutely, has been fantastic for us and has accepted being on the bench very well.

Definitely. Not only a solid defender with good speed but just a great guy to have around the club. If we go back to 4-4-2 next season he'll get plenty of playing time.

Worth having on the bench for a formation change to protect a lead (if we ever have one) .
