Decided to go down on Sunday, really hope we do it, can't take the disappointment again. One of the best squads to have been in the championship recently, think it's worth noting that if they had learned how to play together before November we would have won the league. You have to wonder if Vydra should be considered at all in the next game/games; Forestieri does so much for the team, so here's to a Fessi hat trick on Sunday #keepthefaith
Could have been 3-3 but towards the end I was expecting 0-0 and then came Eckstrands stupid foul. That excellent free kick (which was hard to deal with) could have hit anyone and gone anywhere, like most of the shots last night. 1-0 against Leicester who score goals is not too bad a result. Both teams worked hard and Vydra, it seems to me, just needs to get a goal to get his touch back, if his last shot had gone in that would have done it. Bond looked a bit beaten up but it did not seem to bother him but he may have pulled a few more girls if he had put his Hannibal Lecter mask on
It didn't look great did it? Got my nose broken once and looked like a panda for about 3 weeks - would have happily stayed in doors for the duration....
We will win. Then we will win again. Then we will go and get our hearts checked as we will do it the hard way.The Watford way.
Sorry BHD I don't agree. It looked bad at the time (and I was peeved how Leicester fan's were then booing Vydra as if he had made a lot of it) but I don't think it was deliberate or malicious from Morgan, just unfortunate. I think the 'Leicester should have had x or y sent off' is clutching at straws a bit. Let's hope we can turn it around on Sunday, keep the faith!
Got to agree with that. It did look bad and it had to sting but it was one of those where he went for the ball. I honestly think that sometimes the players react so quickly that the ball's gone and the momentum of their initial movement causes the collision. Last night was like that. It was pretty harsh to boo Vydra but I'd be lying if i said it wouldn't have happened the other way round.
I agree with you - and not just because I'm a Leicester fan - firstly Morgan's not a dirty player by any standard (combative but very fair) secondly the orange boot of the other Leicester player (King or James) just got a toe poke to the ball - otherwise Big Wes would have been playing that and not Vydra's leg ... admittedly a 'still' like that does look bad ...
I think you'll find that particular expression is down to the complexity of multi-tasking - it must be fookin difficult to play football whilst you also attempt to fit a new magazine in your hand magnum...
I was going to post a hilarious image but was stopped by the Not606 Stasi. Suffice to say Matt doesn't like it up him. And that tackle was right up him.
No but happy to celebrate his facial expression at the end of 90 minutes on Sunday - after all it'll be him and the other 14 Watford players smiling and celebrating their fort coming trip to WEMBERLEEEEEEEEEEEEEY
Evening All, first chance to get on line since last night & I've just been working my way throu the post match comments. One thing about Vydra, on Saturday he belted one that Kenny did well to get to, yesterday he hit another that KS parried, and fluffed his lines on a couple. The common thread.... he was in position to have a go, not something we've seen in recent weeks, so maybe(whisper this) he is turning a corner. We live in hope. I'm not as confident re the outcome as I was last weekend, so 'Travelling in hope, rather than expectation', but hoping we get a result. Someone(sorry can't recall who) commented about KS being good at penalties, but I'd be confident our continental lads know a thing or two about taking Pens, if well placed & hit, the keeper is always at a disadvantage. So who knows. Where ever you are and however you are following the game, enjoy(hard as that may seem sometimes!). COYH WFC63
Hornyette got to think that whoever scores the first goal on Sunday will be hot favourites to make it to Wembley
I dont know. If we score then it just evens things up. We have to score 2 more than Leicester. If we get the first they are likely to come out to play and god knows how that will end up. However, I think Deeney might be the game changer.
But with the home advantage it should turn things in your favour and with no away goals rule Leicester might then be happy to lose 1-0 and go to penalties
... especially if he sees the red mist again ... the intriguing thing is that you HAVE to come at us - and, with all due respect. you appear to be better as a counter attacking side - when we went the goal up the other night and you tried to respond we started to find holes in your previously solid defence ...as such, it's all set up nicely for a very exciting 90 mins..
