    That we sign another Rowly?

I want our side to have a talisman, a player who will bust a gut, never stop running, leads by example and can drive his team on against all odds, not only score goals but win the ball and bleeds blue and white.

After this season's shameful surrender monkeys we need to have a real R's hero to lead the way back...

Those 2 havent got the pace or energy to do that. Mackie is the closest we have to that but he doesnt seem to have much leadership ability.

We do need more leaders as well as those who lead by example and dont bottle challenges.

Dead right, Brix. A midfielder who not only has spirit, grit and leadership skills, but can score a goal or two...

In addition to a watching Toronto FC games recently (due to the Nelsen/Ephraim connection), I've also been watching a few Vancouver Whitecaps too, and have been really impressed in the way Nigel Reo-Coker manages to boss their midfield in an almost effortless way, i.e. unlike Park running around like a chicken that has lost it's head.

Reo-Coker is actually still only 28 (turns 29 next week) and could have been a player that would have strengthened our squad the past couple of seasons.

Yesterday Vancouver beat LA Galaxy 3-1 and with a 2-0 lead as soon as Reo-Coker went off in the 85th minute they looked more fragile in midfield and conceded.
