Not often we should look to Italy for an example of justice

I wouldn't look at Italy and say "Justice" in this case. Racism in football over there is rife, if not institutional. This is probably just a sweep under the carpet jobby.

You're missing the point Lucas. There's no argument that under the FA's own rules Suarez was due a 3/4 game ban for what he admitted (as was Evra, btw). It was irrelevant if he meant offence or not, as the FA are allowed to apply a 'subjective' test to it - i.e. did it cause offence no matter what the intention. However, the second part of the ban, four game, was based upon several uses of the word eventually agreed upon, and for that there is not one iota of evidence except Evra's word. Without going through the whole report again - don't worry, I won't - it's not 'brushing racism under the carpet' to ask that there is credible evidence before applying disciplinary sanctions to anyone in any walk of life in any circumstances. It's just natural justice.

Again, whilst I don't think Italy's history on racism is anything for them to be proud of, they're right to apply the standard of reasonable doubt on issues that just involve one word against an other.

Just maybe if Meggiorini admitted he had said something racial he would have got a ban.

As for it being good justice it looks more like a cop out to me and as the other poster said very neatly swept under the carpet.

And again, can I point you to the fact that Suarez got a four game ban for the part he admitted, Evra got none for what he was forced to admit - forced to because it was the only bit captured by camera. Suarez got an additional four game ban for what there was not one scrap of independent evidence. And for that I think the Italians have got it right.

Greece is far worse right now <yikes> Even the police are picking up people and battering them to a pulp, for no apparent reason.

    the Italians invented corruption<laugh>

It's in their law that it's cool to offer a favour to receive one in return I suspect.

In the end if there is not enough proof then there is not enough proof, you can't just say its italy so its a whitewash, look at what happened with the racism cases in England's top flight, English men, one got a 4 game ban, the other nothing and the dirty dago 8 games, whats this about italian justice, never mind the dirty scummy SYP or the likes of stinking Boris! PC Simon harwood G20 murderer who got off with no prison sentence even though he was caught on camera assaulting and in the end killing an innocent man. Who did time for murdering Jean Charles de Menezes a totally innocent commuter who was held down and shot in the face and chest,

You need not look any further than English justice to see stinking justice and corruption.
