    Really does take the biscuit.

All we have to do is get no more than 2 points less than Wigan out of two matches, with us having the easier fixture (the two Arsenal matches cancelling each other out). That is setting the bar unbelievably low but it would still be madness to feel confident.

My Gut feeling tells me that there is still one horrible twist for all the teams involved at the bottom. I have an awful feeling it will be Wigan beating Arsenal or at least getting a point and all the teams around then doing the same or worse. I really think we will struggle at QPR. You just know that the mercenary Loic Remy is going to do us good and proper. Surely there can not be another bloody club like Newcastle in world that makes its fans suffer year after year like this??? Can anyone think of one?????????

According to 'Arry he's going to be selecting a team based on who he thinks will be staying with them next season, getting them time playing together early.

Should be a doddle for us playing against a six man team.

Well Lawro has us tipped for a win. Vampire Weekend, though, must be Newcastle haters. They have Villa beating Chelsea, us losing and Wigan beating Arsenal 8 - 0. Always kind of liked them till naw.

    Anway, here's Lawro's blurb:

Newcastle are yet another struggling team who need a win to ease their problems, although even a point could see them safe if Wigan get beaten by Arsenal on Tuesday.

The Magpies' point at West Ham last weekend was a big one, courtesy in many ways of the return of Fabricio Coloccini to their defence, and his authority will make a big difference here too.

I cannot see QPR putting up much resistance. Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is already talking about next season and, even if his players are not thinking about their summer holidays, there are far too many mistakes in that team for them to hold out.

    Prediction: 1-2

I fancy us to do the business but with our fragile confidence, it would be foolhardy to say its a certainty.

Would be just like us to lose to QPR and then beat Arsenal. We never do things the easy way.

My heart couldn't take a last day relegation fight with those bastard's Wigan.

Lets just get a point, then Arsenal hammer Wigan a few days later. Then we sack Pardew as soon as the season is over. Then again, I hope to Christ Neil Lennon takes the job at Everton because I would rather have Pards all day long rather than that little ginger snatch

Neil Lennon will never be at Newcastle, remember the late 90's.

You can never say never (sadly) in this day and age mate. I mean I know Pardew is irritating but could you imagine Lennon as manager? Christ it would blow my mind and not in a good way at all!

Do you really think they guy who twice stuck his fingers up to our fans would become manager, think we are the last club Lennon would ever consider joining.

No not particularly but if Pardew leaves in the summer his name will no doubt be thrown about. Look I hate the little bastard and would rather Megson here but considering Ashley gave Pardew an 8 year contract I wouldn't rule anything out at this point

Here's a thought... It's in QPR's interest for us NOT to be in the championship with them next season as we will be seen as a big fish.

I thought that theory last night
However QPR have been shocking all Season surely they can't finish the season that bad, the law of averages
Says its not going to be straight forward everyone outside the club seems to think we are certain to get something.
It's simple if we turn up like we did in the away leg at benfica happy days
It's just that performance only happens once in a blue moon for us it seems

Thinking about this more, my head says we'll win 2-0. I'm not on speaking terms with my heart after the b****** made me support Newcastle.
