Someone else has tweeted that Swans have denied it, so who knows! My oinly feeling of relief is that it's the Daily Fail, but even they're right once in a blue moon!

    This is a tricky one.

My heart says no, but my head says yes.

Johnson has had, let's face it, a very good season. He is a contender for player of the year, he has been possibly our most consistent player, he has been an absolute rock in midfield. I also think he is better at passing than people give him credit for - that goal we scored early in the season with something like 24 passes was finished off with a lovely lofted through ball from Johnson. He is often looking out for the clever ball over the top, though admittedly he is not skilled enough to get it right frequently - at least he tries. I would also hope Johnson is worth more like £5-6m, though just over £4m is not a bad deal.

However, if we are honest, he isn't our best player and his style is eminently replaceable and I think we can find someone better, so maybe it's a very good deal. I think he could have made a great squad player.

It is probably also a good move for him because he will be a unique player in the Swansea squad, making him more valued.

I hope this is Daily Fail madness though

Does anybody know if BJ is available for selection on Sunday, having picked up his 10th yellow card against Villa?

Agree with this. He has been consistent but is not cultured ( although that is not really his role in fairness). Lucas Biglia would be the answer.

Biglia with Johnson would be pretty decent but if we sell Johnson...get Bridcutt and play him with Biglia (or soneone of a similar ilk to Biglia).

TBH we have spoken a lot about Biglia as if he is a definite target...is he?

Think he's been a big player for us the past couple of seasons, but I've never been as keen as others seem to be on him - think that we could get a very decent replacement in on that money.

not for us any more i dont think. we showed an interest a while back, then liverpool came in at 4.5m. He then said he loves and wants to play for inter, or in serie A. Lazio lead the pack at the moment with an offer of 8m apparently.
