Nobody seems to have mentioned this, but Everton confirm he'll leave at the end of the season. Wonder where he'll end up? Millwall, Wolves, Donny? BBC Breaking News http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/22461219
Hopefully he's as successful at Manchester United as he was at Everton and wins ****-all... He's leaving a good club for a horrible one.
Our manager and a lot of the playing staff have Man U connections not to mention the help they have given the club in recent years, not really a horrible club at all in fact a friend of Hull City I would say
Just as an aside, of the hundreds of managers i have been with in press conferences Moyes is without a doubt the dullest, most monosyllabic I have ever encountered. Every single answer he has ever given to written media is 'yes' or 'no' and the journos turn this into a quote based around their question. I was going to say that will all have to change but then I remembered that Utd dont give written media press conferences despite Premier League rules stating that they legally have to or they will be in breach of their rules. If any other club did that.... Actually Wombat - there's one to add to your list about why they're a 'horrible club'. They think such rules as this dont apply to them when every single one of the other 91 clubs gives a written media post match press conference.
There are other clubs more worth hating than Man U in the top-flight, like snobby Arsenal and their stuck-up fans for starters
To back up the Arsenal comment I was on the old 606 site and their fans put the odd Leicester cretin on here to shame
He was sniffing around Tom Cairney last time that we was in the Premier League, seemed a pretty nice guy, chatting with people in the Kingston suite. I wonder whether he fancies Tom for Man Utd?
I know our fans do like to hate on Arsenal after Spitgate but I tell you what, the amount that stayed behind to give us a standing ovation after we beat them at the Emirates was exceptional and a credit to them. And then after the game I have never been so congratulated by opposition fans as I was that day and it honestly wasnt patronising.
I like Moyes too, come over very well to me, intelligent and unassuming. I'd like to see Tom given another chance too in the top flight, maybe more suited to that league.
I can honestly say they were the most condescending and patronising fans towards us online but I wasn't at that game so nice to hear they had some respect that day.
Probably a case of people behaving differently in person than they do on a messageboard. We all do it, I know I do.
I posted a lot on the old606 and that was our last stint in the Premier League so was interesting to see how the top-flight fans were, the Man Utd lot were always OK with us but it was Arsenal that sticks in the mind for the wrong reasons. I agree about how people behave online, have to sift through all the crap to find stuff actually worth reading
Moyes also came to watch us at Barnsley last season. People suggested it might have been to watch Chester at the time.
