As I may have mentioned before, my workplace has a variety of fans from various clubs. Some in the same office as me, others I see down at the dirty tabbers shed.

The fans of Barnsley, MK, Swansea, Derby (funnily chuffed Forest lost), Arsenal, Spurs, Posh and others were all happy we got promoted, and wished us well. Most think Brucie is a good manager and we should be fine, and they all think we're owned by a local businessman who saved the club and think we're very lucky to go up in the financial situation we're in.

The Palace fan. Not so much. He still can't believe they didn't get 2nd, because they deserved it more, playing more attractive football and would be a better team in the PL. He's sulking more than Tarrabt. Which is making the rest of us laugh and piss take a lot.

One of the lasses in the office went to the Watford game, and the cleanest song she was prepared to discuss was "1 - 0 to the England" chant by the Leeds fans, which I have to say, made me laugh.

Anyone else had positive vibes about our amazing achievement?

After a year of never going up, Watford are better, we (Leicester) are better blah blah blah.

It's now a year of never staying up.

I'm in Huddersfield and Leeds supporters territory and all that I've spoken to since Saturday have been pleased for us and also wished us well

I hate that predictable **** - all I've had is 'easy 6 points next season', 'you'll beat Derby's lowest ever points tally' etc etc. Seem to remember hearing exactly the same thing 5 years ago...

Most here are Liverpool and Everton fans and were all wanting to talk to me, (as the solitary Hull City fan) about the weekend and were pleased we had been promoted and wished us well. A few were just commenting about how glued they were to the matches on Saturday and felt nervous even as neutrals.

I've had that comment too Dids that it was a tense exciting game for a neutral and they couldn't imagine how it must have been for a Hull City fan.

Well all my workmates are thrilled city are going up but they have no idea about "soccer" and think we have won the superbwl in England or summat. Mauricio is from El Salvador and doesn't speak much English but he has been saying "Hull City number one" all week. Sigh
Sadly football aint very big in Louisiana but their hearts are in the right place and we have gained a few more fans even if the know nowt about it

That really ****s me off. Every year ignorant Premier League fans say the newly promoted 3 will all be relegated and the relegated 3 will all be promoteed. when was the last time that EVER happened?! Its ages since the promoted 3 even went straight down again.

Well I do actually think you guys will stay up. Your a good strong team but not many outstanding individuals. I think if you add a quality striker as well as smart signings there is no real reason you won't stay up. You seem to have decent owners and strong connections

Let the PL think that Hull City will be an easy touch. That would be just fine.

We are going up with a better squad than in 2008 and the extra quality that SB will add should make us a Southampton type team hopefully. But we do need 3 strikers who can score goals. Fryatt and Aluko are not enough.

Off the top of my head I think the three promoted teams have only ever all been relegated once since the PL formed. I'm sure there are more occurrences of all three promoted teams surviving.

The only comment that I have had was "lets hope that Southampton are still up in the PL, at least you'll have a short drive". Knowing my luck Hampshire Police will impose a match day travel ban and I'll have to drive to Hull to get the bus!!

Precisely, yet you can bet the hilarious 'Lawro' will predict it on the first Football Focus with a sardonic **** eating smirk across his face.

    You are correct.

In 96/97 Barnsley, Bolton and Crystal Palace were all promoted. In 97/98 they were all relegated. That is the only time it happened.

As for none of the promoted teams getting relegated immediately, its happened just twice:

    00/01: Fulham, Blackburn and Bolton
    10/11: QPR, Norwich and Swansea

Most typically, 1 of the promoted teams goes down. This will have happened 14 out of 21 seasons assuming Southampton stay up.
