    well mr Ashley took a gamble in the summer n bought next to no one.As wigan have lost tonight he may think the gamble has paid off as we probably will stay up.Lets see if he has learnt anything, personaly, I dont think he has, going on the rumours that hatem is off to Liverpool !

    I wouldn't say the gamble paid off, it just hasn't massively backfired (yet). Ashley has made a habit of learning from his mistakes over the years so I'm hopeful he'll do what is required. Although truth be told I think we're a goalscorer and a full-back away from a very good squad (provided we don't go down of course.) Excited at the prospect of our squad with no injuries, no Europe and with a summer off!

    Speaking of whihc, can anybody work out and post the accumulator bets that would see us go down ?

    There would be about 3 or 4 scenarios that would see us relegated. Each will probably get over 100/1. A tenner on each would ease the pain if he worst did happen

    Never believe rumours. Everyday there was a new one about Cabaye being off to Arsenal last summer
