    Lads,

A question for those in the know, how does away ticketing work re the Premier League?

Do Season ticketholders get priority on away games or is it first come, etc..?

I can’t afford or justify getting a Season ticket and travelling up from London for all the home games, but this may sway me a little.

    Thanks.

They will go on sale to season ticket holders first before general sale unless a new loyalty scheme comes in place

There is a new system being put in place ahead of next season, but it's make-up has not yet been decided.

Only season ticket holders will be able to go, they will only be able to purchase one ticket each, and you will also need an ID card to be presented to the police upon arrival at the ground. Handing a ticket out to someone else or being found in possession of someone else's ticket will result in a year long football banning order.

Funny that innit didn't have that kind of problem at Millwall a couple of seasons back and I got a plastic bottle of piss thrown at me over a fence, I'm thinking I wont make any away games next season while I'm home

There'll be plenty of away games where getting a ticket won't be a problem, it's only really games against the top clubs where it'll be an issue.

I'm in the same position. Even some of the away games against top clubs will be midweek and if down south should be easy to get tickets. Also worth considering joining the southern supporters as they get a limited allocation.

I suppose I could always sit in the home end if worst comes to the worst, I do have Louisiana ID but I'm not sure if I could keep me trap shut if we scored

When is the first game of new season , any ideas yet . I'm at a DO at Chelmsford cricket ground on Aug 31st , so West Ham away or anywhere near there that day would be nice.

Away Direct in its current form is being changed but a new loyalty system will work along the similar lines from what the ticket office are saying. Then season card holders. That will do for me. Just keep away tickets away from glory boys and plastics. We have enough demand from TRUE HULL CITY FANS.

Assuming that Norwich stay up but after last night Wigan are now in Dire Straits without a doubt. Even Mark Knopfler would struggle. Its most unusual for any of the 3 promoted clubs to play each other in the first few games. At least 2 clubs get the start from hell. Southampton this season had a nightmare start. But an opening day game at say Everton (under new management) would be acceptable imo. Get them early before they settle down.

Now that would be a great opening day game (w/e of august 17/18/19 subject to sky) for obvious reasons.

I know what you mean, we didn't go to any of the big away teams last time around, went to Blackburn, Bolton, West Brom, Middlesborough etc.

Nearly got myself into a spot of bother at Derby a few seasons back when someone had given me some freebies in the home end and when Stuart Green equalised with a stunning volley from outside the box I jumped up and the wife was a bit slow in pulling me back into my seat. I did enjoy watching the replay on the tv in the concourse at half time surrounded by Derby fans begrudgingly admiring the strike, while I stood there with a big grin!
