Lads May be just rumour but there is a lot going around that Reina will sign a two year deal with Barcelona in the summer. All the Liverpool sources on Twitter (yes I know, but there are also good sources on their too) have stated along those lines. The rumours actually stem from Guillem Balague on Revista de la Liga who stated just that. What are everyones feelings on this? Do we think he will go? Personally, as must as I like Reina, I think it may be time for a change. If he goes he will remembered fondly mind. bow
I hope it's not true. He's started to come back into form from the turn of the year and I think he offers more than judt a decent goal keeper. You can tell from interviews and clips that he is a big personality in the club as well. If he were to go, I hope we hold Barca to ransom and have a top quality keeper lined up to replace him. Can't hav Brad Jones as our number 1 going into the new season.
Been watching this as well Bow. 2 years guaranteed starter with a mind to break in a younger keeper after that. If its all done in the open and like I said with Suarez if we have a replacement here before he goes let him go home with warmest farewells & backslapping.
Obviously hope it's not true but it really wouldn't surprise me to be honest - got to be tough with barca, tell them what we want for him and that if that figure is not met stop talking about our player
Maybe could involve David Villa in some sort of deal. £10mil and Villa wold be nice please. If not Villa then maybe Mascherano fancies coming back to play in CM rather than CB.

Been saying for a while that he will join Barca in the summer. I don't want him to go, but he's served his time with us and deserves to win trophies. There isn't a better keeper with the ball at his feet, perfect for tikka takka hence me saying he will join Barca.
Hence why he should be the perfect keeper for us but as you say if Barca come knocking what can we do? He's not been at his sparkling best the last couple of seasons but will still be hard to replace. If he goes then good luck to him
I could probably play in goal for Barca if you didn't have to make any saves. When they get the ball at the back 99% of teams drop back to the half way line and all Valdes has to do is pass it to one of his CB's with no opposition within 40 yards.
But Reina could do it better with both feet and in style too. Plus, he can pick out a 50p from fifty yards
He won't be off, he's not even on Barca's radar for replacement keepers for Valdes. Ter Stegan still their number one target and they'll keep pushing for him until it's an impossibility. Ballague is chatting ****.

Totally agree (although I'm pretty nifty with both feet I'll have you know) but Barca keeper doesn't need to ping the ball 50 yards upfield as the whole tika-taka means just keeping the ball on the floor and working it from the back. Not saying he wouldn't be a great keeper for them, just think if I was in charge I'd go for someone very dominant from crosses as most smaller teams will fancy their chances against Barca in the air from corners/set peices.

10 plus tello....he has 5 years on a contract and is one of the top keepers in the world, and they are minted.
...and that is a minimum - they should be asking for a lot more than that to start things, if they are even entertaining the idea....
