This is the player we should sign to partner Matty Fryatt.

He's a finisher, he can hold the ball up and lay it off, he's a proven 1-in-3 striker at Championship level, he's not old, he's not fat and most importantly.......he's free!!

    There, sorted!!

    My Choice

Also, if you want a player to provide the strikers with ammo, who can unlock defences with his passing, is a genuine left-footer and who again is free.........here's the man!

    The Porkmeister!!

I'm at work and can't see who the first one is - 'Gambling', apparently.

Reid is a decent shout though, provided the fat **** loses a few pounds.

Would be happy for us to sign both them. Thought Reid was older than 28! He should be reaching his prime, but definately needs to shed a few pounds. Nugent also at 26 has plenty of experience at this level and would do a good job.

I keep saying it, but Derek Riordan would be spot on up front next to Super Matt. Just wishful thinking I guess. Cheap option, I would go for Danny Ings at Bournemouth, looks a great prospect.

I said he needs to lose a few pounds - I didn't say I was expecting it.

Reid was in his prime a fair few years ago. From one of Sunderland's best players in the PL to being released from Blackpool is a pretty dramatic demise.

I would love to see Nugent here, but he's on £40K a week. Undoubtedly great experience at Championship level and a good scoring record, but I wouldn't pay half those wages for him. Steve Howard or Chris Iwelumo, as mentioned on other articles, would be more realistic options

We won't be buying Nugent at all; he's a free agent.

As for his wages, if he was on £40k a week he will NEVER get those kinds of wages again unless he gets back into the Prem. No Prem side will want him so he will have to expect a drop in salary.

Always thought Andy Reid was more of a central player certainly not a pace winger anyway but none the less would be a great signing.

This is another suggestion that we sign a quick, goal scoring forward which is what we already have in Fryatt and Simpson.

It's the target man we need remember? I don't get why everyone is still struggling with this...

Think we may get an Adebola type signing for plan B, however I think plan A may just involve players we already have ie. Fryatt, Simpson, Stewart & Koren
