Now do the business and beat those Bees and take Yeovil to the championship. Many years ago when yeovil hit the football league i said they will over take city in football league. This season i believe that will happen when they beat Brentford.
Always the minnow in a big pond but now they could be swimming in a brand new luxury pool that we left available for them. Nice to see them succeed where we failed- oh how the wheel turns over on those that don't pay attention (Us!).
Good luck to GJ, maybe he is good enough to get them up and we were bad enough to come down.. Let's hope somebody kicks SOD up the ass and reminds him that he was part of the cause and failure of our demise, he had 20 games, succeeded at home and failed dismally away, we've had all the rhetoric of late from him about our weaknesses and failures, now it's his time, let's hope he as good as he talks, the Summer break and first 10 games in a lower league, then we can make an honest judgement.. GJ has proved his value, exposed his weaknesses and had his failures, he is old news as far as we are concerned, I wish him nothing but good fortune..
'Let's hope somebody kicks SOD up the ass and reminds him that he was part of the cause and failure of our demise, he had 20 games,' Wize...just an observation. Wolves have just sacked Dean Saunders for 5 wins in the last 20 games, picking up 20 points. Your SO'D has also had just 5 wins in 20 games, picking up 19 points!
I had put this up on shiny's 'Last Post' thread earlier, SOD had 5 wins only... Saunders.....record P...20...W...5...L...10...D...5...Points...20..Res ult......Sacked O'Driscoll.....record P...20...W...5...L...11...D...4...Points...19..Res ult......The New Messiah....
The guy deserves to be in the Championship. He was sacked too early for us, and although he looked tired during his final weeks with us I think he had more to give. It's funny how so many fans were happy to see him go, saying that we were a big club and that he was "League 1 at best". He's been promoted all around the Football League, and he'll be in the Championship with a third team (if you count his time with Peterborough) assuming that Yeovil do well in the final. I hope he lands promotion, and has a quiet chuckle when he looks at the fixture list next season, only to see no Bristol City in the second tier.
anyone watch the Yeovil game?? Please can someone tell me why did all the players and GJ get on the stand and celebrate like they've actually won something? I don't get it..
what about the other bloke who had 26 games who you were extremely fond of..? Does he get any blame too?
Yes he loused it up as well and had to go, that doesn't make SOD devoid of any blame, I sincerely hope for all our sakes he get's it right, the summer and 10 league games will show us one way or another, I will give SOD 100% support as I already do...
Not convinced myself but I will give him time and respect. As we say over here he speaks with a forked tongue.
As Lan says the rot was well and truly in when SoD took the reigns, next year will be his team, his ways,no hiding,i fully expect us to do well.I assume our leader will back him with the players he has lined up. Sky are normally on the money, hence they make us 2nd favourites for promotion.
Good luck to GJ and Yeovil. I will be rooting for them. Brentford would be an easier venue for me (after Swindon of course!)
