Hmm, don't think it did come from rates paid by local residents you know. Pretty sure it came from the flotation of a company. And the whole world outside of the city thought they were stupid and irresponsible to spend it on a stadium.
I don't think the Allam's will want to share their glory with the Geraghtysaurus. I am sure that with the money that the Allam's made with the promotion they will build in Melton.
I am not sure that the Allam's will want to share the glory with the Geractysaurus. With the money that the Allam's make from promotion, is there ANY chance that they will build in Melton?
Did you hear him on the radio after we got promoted? He sounded like a drunk slurring his words and sounding idiotic.
They might do the trophy presentation as well. Unlikely, but you never know. (You do get a trophy for finishing second - FACT)
HULL City is looking to host a promotion party for 30,000 fans at the KC Stadium. An announcement unveiling plans for a promotion celebration, which could be held as soon as tonight or tomorrow evening, is expected today. Hull City vice chairman Ehab Allam said: "The stadium is the home of the club and we can get about 30,000 people in there with the stands and with people also on the pitch." Officials were today holding talks with the council, police and the East Riding FA in a bid to stage a lap of honour ahead of tonight's cup final at the KC Stadium between North Ferriby and Reckitts. We will keep fans informed of the developments involving the promotion party on our new website hulldailymail.co.uk and Twitter feed @hulldailymail once the club has confirmed details. Hull City's managing director Nick Thompson said: "We will consider all the options on Tuesday morning. "Tuesday night is the ideal time because the East Riding FA Cup final is taking place at the KC Stadium but there may be a technicality that wouldn't allow us to do something then. "We would then look at the possibility of Wednesday." Bloody hell, if its tonight thats a bit short notice isn't it?
What a ballache, if they were going to do it short notice then yesterday would have been perfect. I hope circumstances conspire against them and it has to wait til the weekend...
Holding the celebration at the KC is perfect. It symbolises the real division in the city. The business world vs the civic world. Two bitter rivals who do not understand or trust each other, coming together in a sports arena. Where's Spielburg when you need him!
When we got promoted before in 2nd place we received a shield. So we'll get something for our trophy cabinet. Keep the HCC well away from the celebrations.
This is the silverware our trophy cabinet will be getting (albeit obviously with different coloured ribbons) please log in to view this image
Exactly, surely this coming weekend is now the most ideal time? If anything that takes the limelight off of North Ferriby as well...
Allam said that he wants 30,000 there, so probably not. I would assume pass holders get some sort of priority though...
Tomorrow's a ball ache too, before the weekend surely someone sat down and though hang on, we might go up this weekend, how will we celebrate if we do? Having a parade like this on a week night at just over 24 hours notice is really not good forward planning.
