Has there ever been a poorer loser in any sport??? We play 12 games in 36 days but Man u are in need of match play ?? Maybe if they were good enough to stay in some of the Cups, they would be fitter !!! With some of the diving divas at Man U, he has no cause to complain about any player from any other team. The home advantage, homer Referee, everything in his favour yet his team are not good enough, and he hasn't the grace to say so. What a slimey piece of drunken scum the man is.
CP--Saffa has never been able to be gracious about defeat either at our hands or any other team! The ref invariably is to blame and if not the ref its some other excuse! Sir Bobby Robson he aint!
He is a bad loser because he is so used to winning. He creates a siege mentality vs the officials, this not only gives them doubt when officiating one of their matches but it boosts the players to know they could have a few decisions go their way and if they do do something they get penalised for, their manager will divert the publics eye away from them. Being a Chelsea fan (and any other non-united fan) I do not like him because of the success he has had. But I have got to had it to him, he has to go down as one of the greatest managers ever (just for the winning empire he has created). It'll be interesting to see how united deal with a different manager when he retires!
after match reporting, chelsea win by a deflected goal (possibly an own goal) and luiz is unprofessional. but hey lets not forget that we owned them in their own back yard
The Press are as least as ungracious as Slur Alex. Incredible review on BBC sport, it was all about how out of sorts Man Utd were because "some of their players hadn't had enough game time " !!!!!!! The bog truly mindles. Not a peep about CFC having played 13 games in 37 days, or that we've played 20 odd games more than Man U, and the most of any PL team. No, if they don't win it's never because the other team played better, always some excuse . Fortunately I don't have to read the British papers anymore, but I can imagine the whingeing and whineing going on.
I've read the reports in the Times and Sun and they are both complimentary about our performance! They both made something of Luiz's theatric's but-hey-- that was good fun!
I saw his interview on Sky after the game and thought he was actually being very gracious(possibly because he didn't care that much) but then he went off in to his rant at the ref and said the ref didn't see the Rafael kick and didn't mention the fact that the lino was right next to it and flagged straight away.
""There is always an expectation that we should do better. We expected a better performance...They [some of our players] haven't played for quite a while. That being said, we should be doing better." Blue tinted goggles much? That's what I thought. He admitted Chelsea showed more desire and were sharper than us and that we should have done better. Not sure what else he is supposed to say after a 1-0 loss to an own goal. Seems some people are just looking for an excuse to be angry. Complaining about Luiz is pretty standard - any manager would do the same if one of their players was sent off and the 'fouled' player was seen rolling around on the ground and smiling. Don't tell me Chelsea fans wouldn't be utterly outraged and demanding long bans if Young, Rooney, Suarez, Bale or pretty much any opposition player was seen doing the same.
It was a red, done right in front of linesman. Fergie is being a cock, as per usual. See ball to rvp's head incident
'rolling about like a dying swan' apparently. very good fergie, very good. I'm still puzzled about this elbow accusation too, he shoulder barges him twice. Rafael didn't like being outstrengthed and lashed out. ha, who has demanded long bans?
I don't blame him for criticising Luiz but he twisted it into something about the ref too when even if he didn't see the incident it was clear the lino did and gave the decision. That was the annoying part for me and there's nearly always a dig at something but as you say, he couldn't really do anything else except hold his hands up about the performance and I'll avoid commenting on the rights and wrongs of fielding such a weakened team for the sake of my blood pressure.
Rolling around? Have you not seen the video? He does not roll at all. He does not grab any part of his body feigning injury. He laughs but last I knew that wasn't against the rules. Twat.
What a huge pile of ****....Luis was outrageous...but no more outrageous than players diving, pretending to be hurt or claiming a throw in or a corner when they know it came off them last. the united player kicked out so deserved to be sent off...he was stupid. Luis did not provoke him...it was a fair shoulder charge...so kicking out was a twatish thing to do.
In what way? Did he roll around feigning injury? No he did not. Did he laugh for having outsmarted and out muscled his opponent so comprehensively that the said player kicked him? Yes he did. Not seeing the outrageous act tbh.
He could have just got up and laughed at the twat to his face...a grown man laying down to give the impression of being hurt is outrageous imo...but its no big deal...cos they ALL do it. I work in a school and the kids copy this pretending to be hurt **** but like I said...Luiz is not the problem here..the twat that kicked him is in the wrong...I just wish ALL players would get up when they ain't hurt
Whilst United comtinue to employ Ashley Young, Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney, Rafael, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and players of that ilk, it smacks of irony they can accuse anyone of cheating or gamesmanship to gain an advantage. Every successful dressing room needs a Luiz or a Terry/Cole. Someone with a nasty edge to them, it's what makes teams successful as United well know. Nice guys don't win (crucial) football matches, it's why Arsenal and Spurs haven't won anything of note in a while and why Chelsea have lost so many semi finals/finals this season.
