can Faye handle the premier league?

    He might be useful in a defensive midfield role next year if we need to bring someone on to help see the game out. His lack of pace would definitely see him getting skinned often at centre back.

    Not that simple as saying he's too slow. Would he be any slower than say Terry or Jamie Carragher? He is a fine footballer with stacks of experience in the premiership who reads the game and organizes those around him. He may well move on or be offered one last go at the EPL. Either way he's been outstanding among a group of defenders who have been as good as any we've had at the club.

    From a West Ham fan, last year he was solid enough but I allways felt that he was too slow for the Premier League, maybe didn't deserve what we did to him but glad we got rid, glad he has had a good season with you.

    It depends. There will be games next season where we're just parked in our own box like Bristol City did at our place a few weeks ago. If that happens pace as a CB won't matter. In that situation he'd be ideal.
