The league has been compensation enough. Besides, you won neither of those cups so it doesn't matter anyway. Fact is, there's very little on this game which is a shame but there you go.
FA Cup maybe, but like Ruff says you didn't win it so it's not a major reason. As for the COC, I can honestly say I completely forgot it was Chelsea who knocked us out!
am still gutted by the way we have been knocked out from the cup tbh .. not sure if the team or the manager have that in their mind though .. may be is just me
The only serious objective for this season has been quite rightly the premiership. By a long distance. Anything else would have been a bonus. I doubt anyone would have swapped a premiership title for a champions league trophy. Especially when it would have meant City winning consecutive titles. I am quite happy we won the prem title. And I am quite happy to leave the cups to the likes of Swansea and the Chavs and City. Let them fight over the crumbs... Today, hope for a win but in the end will depend on attitude. One team will be desperate for 3 points the other will wish for one...
I think we gifted it away at the first game after we were 2-0 and comfortable, and at the 2nd it was 50-50 till the goal beside beating any team managed by Rafa worth the fight .. i hate the guy ... hope we win
hhh sure refereeing wise, it was a fair and square result .. hope though the team is motivated enough to beat you guys and turn the fat waiter face into red today may best team win .. will be a great match to watch .. sadly will miss it bcz wife want to go out
Strange team selection for United... SAF winding Rafa up: letting him go 3 goals up and then throwing the kitchen sink at them with Rooney and Kagawa coming in later to win 4-3.
In our last three meetings with Chelsea, we've played a considerably weakened team, I wonder why is that?
What a stupid game! What was Fergie thinking, neither this, nor that and Rafael gets a red card for showing his frustration.
So....will United get fined for fielding a weakened team? You were supposed to beat Arsenal and Chelsea...
Yeah i know we haven't had a lot to play for, but we really have been **** since we lost to Madrid. All the games against strong teams(Chelsea (3 times), Arsenal and City) since then have been woeful. No one really cared about this game, but still even before we won the title our form was slipping. We'll need it back to shoot for 21.
Dire day all round, red card, fail to score at home since 09/10, lose to an own goal and no second yellow for Luiz
I apologise on behalf of non-thinking from Fergie, we were supposed to return the favour to Spurs, but the old man's mind is probably already on a golf course.
SAF played a weak team so the Chavs would win, keeping Spuds in 5th space, so Bale will be sold to UTD for some silly amount of dosh.
