Love it to be Villa as I have them in my predictor (top 3/bottom3 in all leagues) competition at the pub (big big prize money).....and I am doing surprisingly well but think it will be Wigan.
I am hoping that some may see my comments about 8/9th position in this league being obtainable by well anyone ... yes we ate ourselves as a club but this league is turning out like i said it would now ... maybe 6 points two games from 9th to being relegated... It's not the Premier League ... it's no man's land for those who can taste it but without spending say 150 million with never sustain it ... even if you have excellent players then they will be purchased in the end. Makes what TF and crew are doing off the field even more impressive does it not? ... teams like Norwich, Wigan will like us find it hard ... we have to keep our players .. If Harold ****s around too much he are doomed lads doomed. This squad will win more games in the Championship and that winning mentality is exactly what we need to match the quality of the squad IMO
Norwich are 2nd favs to go down, that surprised me but then theyve been in freefall for a long time, everyone pray for a wigan win on tuesday!
my fantasy team curse strikes again. its a shame you can only pick 3 per team or Id have the whole norwich 11 for the final 2 games!
Yep.......you were right all along mate. Myself and many others were predicting a low points total to stay up this year........totally wrong!!
you might well get your wish col, because we are stinking up the place at the mo. You may have made some bad signings, but we brought in a inform striker in Jan who we now don't even put on the bench, whilst continuing to be unable to score at all. Would you like to take hughton off us?
its such a crap feeling when you have a manager whose 'tactics' are killing off the passion your team could play with and the fun you used to have watching them. I'm guessing you guys can sympathise with that more than most!
If the season was 1 or 2 games longer, youd be odds on but the games may just run out in time for you.
Weve got the exact opposite which is even worse, the manager cares but the players dont, all you have to do is change the manager but we have to change 75% of our squad. Theres so much apathy that none of us can even be bothered to abuse the team.
Isn't being a football fan just great eh? Oh well, at least im off to see our under 18 lads at stamford bridge for the FA youth cup final in a week. They attack and everything!
I don't know why so many on here want Wigan to go down. It has little to do with fancying our chances more against them next season rather than someone like Villa or Newcastle. As our friend HP says they are a small club who play out of their skins and have a chance against most teams in the PL because they play an attractive passing attacking game. They do come a cropper from time to time. I hope they escape personally. It's great that one of the bigger clubs with some history behind them and pots of money gets its comeuppance every so often. For purely selfish reasons, if I had to choose, I would like to see Newcastle go down especially as we have given them a game in 3 matches over the past two seasons and only come away with one measly 0-0 draw. That would add to the long list of matches I could go to next season.
I think most of us are split, the team we want to go down are maybe not the best for QPR. Wigan offer nothing to the PL, their fans are dire, even with a new stadium, they cannot even sell out against the manchester clubs. I dont hate them but they will not be missed.
well after looking to finish mid table, now it could be squeaky bum time for ffc, I am hoping rangers beat or draw against Newcastle and west brom get something against naarwich, or wigan only draw on Tuesday, we will lose to Liverpool next game and our last game is Swansea away, our last relegation was 18 years ago and it was at Swansea, most depressing day I can remember
Evening Col and all. I actually think Villa were the worst team I saw at LR - then. Came away from that game and texted mate who is Villa fan that both teams very poor and heading for NPC. Half right!
You might want to change your mind. Sunderland might be the bigger club compared to Norwich, but with us getting promoted I'm sure Bruce will be looking to nick some of the players he signed for them this summer so they'll be weaker at the start of next season. Who do Norwich really have that they could lose? I might be wrong, but I thought their 'success' was down to team spirit rather than any players having standout performances.
They have the great Wes Hoolahan. He's a household name all around the world you know, but he can't get a game for his country.
