We go on about the youngster Donelly, He is 21 now. not a baby anymore. Yes he has scored a few goals against Barnet and Colchester u21's that is a bit of a difference fro, Wigan, Man utd and Fulham. Just not ready and as i say dont think he ever will. I hope i am proved wrong.
Donnelly was brought to the club as Rodgers was friends with someone in the family. pity he didn't know someone with a bit more quality
Well others were chasing him as well, and its always a risk buying such players, but look at Taylor for example he stepped up from a non league side. So there could still be hope for the lad. Think he should be loaned out next season as the lad needs to be playing competitive football.
Jager you are right, but he should have been loaned out this season at maybe league 2 or 1. He actually needs competitive football against tidy opposition. I am sorry to say he wont learn anyhting playing in this under 21 league.
Ive heard similar from a few people, doesnt he still look a bit too thin and weedy to play up front for us in the prem league ,havent seen him for ages so maybe wrong?? I cant see Laudrup dropping him in there tbh. I think he will go for Moore or even JDG up front before putting any of the kids in. We should play Luke up front as that player has done nothing wrong for me. I also think Luke will be staying at Swansea, he holds a British passport and has chipped in with some valuable goals , a decent member of the squad so lets get his confidence and goal tally up for next season.
We've won away this season at Fulham without Michu. I would start on Tues with Moore up front and Ki or Kemy in midfield - depending on how ML wants to play it.
Moore up top with Ki or Pablo behind. Not JDG he needs benching now imo. Shame to hear that Donelly isn't looking like the real deal. We defo need 2 strikers next season provided Moore is staying.
Ye give the lad a go v wigan and should he play well play him v Man Utd you never know until you try, be good to have an Irish in the team.
