Well, we could have had 3 pts, but after the last 10 minutes of pressure, I'm... ok with a point.

****ing WBA ****s ****ing it up against Wigan, and Norwich!! <grr>

I thought Tiote played well today. When he isn't running around chasing people, he's ok. When he's just in front of the defence he does a good job.

Ben Arfa changes our side. He gets players around him, leaving others unmarked and is great on the ball.

    Ratings -

Elliot - 7 - Some great saves today.

    Simpson - 7 - Quite solid.

Colo- 7 - Good to see him back. Sad he's leaving, we look much better at the back with him.

    Mbiwa - 7 - Canny at LB.

Tiote - 7.5 - Good tackling and some good work on the ball. Solid display.

Cabaye - 6 - Ok. Nothing great. Some good passing.

Ben Arfa - 7.5 - Almost scored a couple of times and played some great passes. He was the difference in the first half.

Gouff - 6.5 - Some good runs and close to another goal. Good work off the ball also.

Cisse - 7 - Should have had a goal. Good link up play. Good performance.

Gosling - 1 - ****. Just ****. Gives the ball away, even slower than Nolan, and missed a good chance.

Ameobi - 6 - Good defending to be fair to him.

MOTM - I'm giving it to Tiote. Good all round performance.

Overall - Good to see us with our heads on again. We defended well and coped with West 'ams strength.

Its a decent point but Wigan could be over us on Wednesday. We need West Brom to beat Norwich now. Villa are bascially out of it.

Writing on the wall I am afraid. Wigans win today is a disaster for us. I thought they may get 6 points out of their remaining 4 games and that didn't include 3 today. Think we'll be in the drop zone by midweek and once we are in I just dont see us having the balls to get out of it.

I'm really worried. There is this feeling of inevitability at the moment. All the teams round us seem to have the momentum and we are just limping along. Good point but I fear not good enough.

I have to say i thought a point today would be fantastic. Did not expect Wigan to get 3 points at West Brom or Villa winning. At least it now bring Norwich and Southampton into the ever increasing equations. Monday night at the SOS should be interesting now.. P.S. I F**ckin hate Wigan, A poxy Team from a Poxy little town bvut with balls of STEEL!!!

We're limping along because we have a manager who is not only happy to settle for a draw, he's happy to play for one. Contrast Villa, Wigan, Sunderland - all playing to win each and every game. QPR next weekend will probably play like Reading did today now that the pressure is off.

Bar a loss, everything that could have gone against us today, did. You can truly do nothing but take your hat off to Wigan, absolutely incredible ability.

We will get nothing against Arsenal on the final day, it all comes down to the QPR game- probably the biggest game since the Villa game in 09.

Elliot - 8 - Some good saves and some great saves. Impressed today.

Simpson - 6 - Wasn't too bad but Matt Jarvis didn't find him too much trouble.

Taylor - 6.5 - Wasn't as visible as the 3 other defenders when the defense were called upon. No errors though.

Colo- 7.5 - His leadership drastically improved us and his composure was vital.

Mbiwa - 7.5 - I thought his performance was his best for us thus far. Collected possession and defended well. When he is accustomed to the tempo he can become a beast.

Tiote - 7.5 - He showed he is a brilliant player when he is in the middle of the park instead of floating amongst the defense, harshly given a yellow for a good tackle.

Cabaye - 6 - A bit more productive than as of late but not a great showing, he's getting there though.

Ben Arfa - 7 - ...and this is why he is key for us, he was electric in the first half before slowing down.

Gouff - 6 - Decent energy but not sure he's up to standard, a Jonas with better finishing.

Cisse - 7 - He was robbed of a goal but maybe a little let down by his first touch when dropping deep.

Gosling - 0 - I'm not sure why Everton were annoyed at his leaving on a free they got back what he is worth.

Ameobi - 5 - Did all he can, not much.

MOTM - Elliot, without those saves we would have 2 nails in our coffin today.

Overall - Much better than late and we might have won if our energy levels kept high. I'd of much preferred the introduction of Campbell than Gosling but can't argue too much with today's showing.

The QPR game is huge and if Pardew lets the team sit back again in the second half (like we always do) and we lose, thats it. We will not beat Arsenal on the last day.

The season Villa have had - for them to have two more points than us shows what a good manager Lambert is as he is working wonders with a mostly a bang average squad. It also shows what a disgrace Pardew is. If he is going to do one decent thing in his wretched tenure this season please let it be three points next week. If this is not achieved he may as well **** off after the game
