Clearly just looking at it from the perspective of our own teams. Didnt see any foul before your first goal. Thought the keeper and defender got caught up together and it fell to your striker. Not sure its fair to say we werent good on the day. If Deeney hadn't been sent off we might well have nicked it

Not sure who it was and it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it, which most people weren't. So easy to miss that I didn't see it until about the 7th replay, but my dad noticed it straight away. Was the blonde one, not sure what he's called, but he tried to shove Poleon in the exact same manner because he knew he wasn't going to beat him, fortunately Poleon outstrengthed him and went and scored.

Lot of teary eyed comments on here from bitter Watford fans. They must have genuinely believed we would roll over for them and let them win, that is not how football works. I would expect Watford to win the playoffs anyway because the other sides in it are poor, however Watford today looked average and I don't think you will cope in the premier league without major investment

Especially not since we owed them one for the Playoffs in 2006 and owed them another one for the 6-1 earlier in the season.

Sounds like Ekstrand, Ill have a look on football league show, I was too busy moaning about Poleon being on the pitch to watch the replay.

My dad's exact comments were "well if Poleon's was a foul then that was a foul too". Obviously the majority of the pub didn't notice because we didn't give a **** but my dad is very objective and tends to notice these things.

I thought we were really flat once the 2nd half started..and ofcourse Bond's injury affected our guys plus Deeney was stupid.

2 goals were really poor to give away - all goalies will make one mistake though and we hardly looked like scoring anyway.

1st was bad play by 2 experienced defenders.

Oh well - roll on Leicester - didn't really want to play them compared to Palace/Bolton but there you go.

NNW, the more obvious result that cost us is the 1-1 at Wolves when we decided to cruise through the last 20 minutes when only leading by 1-0.

We didn't get beaten fair and square - we were desperately unlucky that's all. Tell me another instance where on the last day of the season a team has lost their first and second choice goalkeeper and had to play with a guy who was not even in the squad and had never played first team football before.

I am not blaming Leeds but we lost through real bad luck

Except your keeper wasn't the difference in the game. Losing Deeney was the difference. Your keeper had little to no impact on the game.

Nope, once again the Ref was the difference, yellow for the push reslting in injury, red for a no contact lunge and failed to make a penalty decision that was a stonewall. Dont care that he didnt see it, linesman had the view and they bottled it.

Were you watching a different game? A push is never more than a yellow, the outcome was accidental. If the injury had been from a fair tackle you wouldn't claim a red, just how two of your own players colliding isn't a red for our player regardless.

To claim Deeney's challenge wasn't a red is the most bizarre, replay shows he clearly made contact and he had absolutely no intention of ever getting the ball. At least Poleon was just competing for the ball. Jesus Christ you lot are bitter.

Not bitter that implies something personal which isnt the case. As for Poleon, the reply shows his intent with the push and I hope he's got some remorse becuase of the injury. However i doubt that.

On what basis do you doubt that he'd show remorse? He's a young player he made a challenge that resulted in a potentially serious injury. He's human after all. Your assumption that we lack humanity based on an imagined "dirty" tag is pathetic, old and boring. The fact you are putting so much emphasis on this imagined "dirty" tag is enough evidence of how bitter you are. It's clear in your mind that "we lost because Leeds are dirty", which is incredibly bitter.

You're also implying that Poleon intended to injure the player to give his team an advantage. He intended to get the defender who was hassling him away from him so he could get the ball, like any striker in his position would do, then it resulted in an unfortunate injury. Your inability to view that from an objective point of view (again assuming intent on the basis of an inaccurate stereotype) again shows you to be bitter.

No need for any emphasis you did that all by yourself, I was expressing an opinion based on what i saw and the young lads reaction after his goal, didnt see any moral conviction there. Bit cynical but thats how some footballers are.
Bottom line for me is that we lost and for one will get over it after my third glass, nothing to be bitter about as we have the playoffs to look forward to, thats real progress for a small club like ours, would hate to be a big club rocketing to mediocrity

He scored a goal, what do you expect? For him to not celebrate? He's a professional footballer, showing remorse and worrying about the player he indirectly injured accidentally can and should wait until after the match.

Blaming us for you missing out on an automatic spot is bitter.

Especially since I've just seen a replay of the "stonewall penalty" a lot of your fans are talking about. I wasn't aware you got a penalty for falling over in the box. As for the red card that should have been given as a result, not sure who you'd give it to since nobody caused your player to fall over in the box.
