5 years ago please log in to view this image Today please log in to view this image How times change. And 1 manager in them 5 years has turned this club around single handedly. 1 League One title and 2 play offs campaign's There's only 1 Nigel Pearson
I´d be ****ed off if I had to wear that horrid TOPS TILES kit. Both pics are from the kit unvailing before the start of the each season. TOPS TILES ?
Listen, we've all had our doubts about Pearson, but it's a clean slate from now on. Put a performance in like today and I think we can do it. I believe.
I was always in the pro Pearson corner, but its amazing how this site and foxestalk would have differed if we had not won today, hes gone from vilian to hero because of a single goal this season, it would be complete praise to complete slating (just as an fyi, i would have still liked him to keep his job even if we had not made the playoffs).
They all are. We hit a slump but that dont make Nigel a bad manager. I am fully behind him and regardless of what happens in the play offs Nigel should be our manager next season. Other then under Nigel we havent had a successful or half decent season since Micky Adams
Despite us having money pre Nigel with Milan Mandaric. Not many managers can build teams like Nigel does. He does very well with them aswell. We hit a slump but other then that we have had a very good season. We win the play offs and no one will give a **** about the slump. Getting into the play offs the way we have will have lifted the confidence no end in the dressing room.
Have to agree with Proud. If Shakey and Walshy didn't rate Pearson like some of our fans are (suddenly) starting to say, they'd work with someone else. They see him everyday and know what he offers - if they thought their talents were being squandered by a no-talent, "tactically naive" manager, they'd work with someone else. Also I don't believe our team as ever looked unmotivated (well, maybe against Barnsley and the FA Cup games for obviously reasons). They've looked nervous at times, particularly at home (our fans haven't helped) and particularly towards the end of matches. This is because we have a young team and it's the closest many of them have come to real success in the game. Developing a winner's attitude - that winning is to be expected - is crucial to a young player and this campaign, this outcome today, will help them get there. Let's hope they get a load more of that winning feeling in the next three games!
So they would just walk away from a job at a club paying some of the highest wages in the Championship if they thought the manager was tactically naïve? ... hmmm talking of being naïve ...
I meant long before they returned here. They've worked with him for years. Or are you are implying Pearson's only just become naive? Because we've had a bad run?
if pearson goes walsh and shakey go===thats a fact personally i was always in the keep them another year camp[- and i havnt changed my mind
